The Round Table
The Round Table is King Lennart's famed table, around which he and his Lords congregate. As its name suggests, it has no head, implying that everyone who sits there has equal status. It also symbolize and represent the chivalric order associated with Lennart's Court, the Lords of the Round Table.
The Knights and Dames of the Round Table, or Lords or Ladies of the Realm along with the King himself, make up the Round table, the main legislative body of the Realm, representing the interests of each of the current ten fiefdoms, the Capital District and Temple, in which the Isle and its dominions are divided. The Court Druidess, head of Druidism in Avalon, is also a regular part of the Table and is known informally as "the twelfth Lady". None of those titles and honours are inherited, and any change depends only on the King's discretion.
Ministries don't exist in the strict term, nor there is a clear separation between Religion and State or Executive, Legislative and Judicial powers. Only the Head of State, his Knights or his Lords can administer justice and only the King or his Lords can order military actions and administer military justice.
Besides the King himself and Druidess Morgan, the current Lords list is as follows:
Sir Gawain, Lord of Upperdale.
Sir Lancelot, Lord of Lowerdale (Marshal of the Realm).
Sir Galahad, Lord of Ehlnar.
Sir Percival, Lord of Raybrandt.
Sir Tristan, Lord of Valestein.
Sir Bedivere, Lord of Dragonland.
Madam Eďthne, Lady of Lyonesse.
Sir Morien, Lord of Westernesse.
Sir Caradoc, Lord of Reynesse.
Madam Lynne, Lady of Shalott.
Festivals called Round Tables are also celebrated throughout Avalon. These events feature jousting, dancing, and feasting, and in some cases Lennart's knights attend and celebrate weddings and knightings.
The Knightly Oath
“This is the oath of a Knight of King Lennart's Round Table and should be for all of us to take to heart. I will develop my life for the greater good. I will place character above riches, and concern for others above personal wealth, I will never boast, but cherish humility instead, I will speak the truth at all times, and forever keep my word, I will defend those who cannot defend themselves, I will honour and respect mankind, and refute sexism and racism in all its guises, but I am allowed to be a bigot when we are talking religions and politics. I will uphold justice by being fair to all, I will be faithful in love and loyal in friendship, I will abhor scandals and gossip-neither partake nor delight in them, I will be generous to the poor and to those who need help, I will forgive when asked, that my own mistakes will be forgiven, I will live my life with courtesy and honour from this day forward.”
