* Earth, Luna, and Mars are always placed first in any colony listing, being the first three worlds of Humanity, everything after is alphabetical.

The UEG has around 46 official colonies that it controls through the federal system it is powered by. Within the Inner Colonies lays the industrial, and research might of Humanity, the worlds here are all optimized best for the planet, so that industry and nature do not clash all to much, Earth has the most political and industrial power, but somewhat the worst environment due to its nature as the origin of UEG territory, Luna, the Earths moon has no environment to speak of and is a domed world, while Mars is freshly done being fully terraformed, and is native to many forms of life, primarily from Earth and is a nature preserve, and home to the UNSC's strongest ship yards.

Much like Luna, all but one of the satellites in the UEG are small population centers, with Gabriel being a habitable satellite with primitive forms of life (Around devonian period level of life complexity.) Within the inner colonies, beyond the worlds of Sol, there are a few specific interesting worlds.

Ferris Fields is the only inner colony devoted to agriculture.

Shanxi was the site of the First Contact War, which pitted the UNSC against the Turian Hierarchy.

Reach is the official fortress in the stars, the base of UNSC military might, it fields the second largest shipyards in UNSC space, and is more "autocratic" than other colonies.

Unlike the Inner Colonies, the Outer Colonies are more wilderness and have lower populations. Excluding those linked to a relay, all but Harvest are still developing worlds. Harvest is the primarily agricultural world and considered the heart of the outer colonies, while Mindoir is the home of where the UEG conducts its diplomatic affairs. Unlike the Inner colonies which are more prioritized towards industrial work and research, the outer colonies are more sparse, either for agriculture, beautiful landscapes, or habitat control. The planet Noveria for example only has four cities, with a population of around 800,000,000. (Of course this doesn't count the smaller non cities that can be found near the cities on the world.)

If a colony is linked to a relay, then its likely not going to be restricted to the general structure of inner and outer colonies, as outer colonies linked to a relay have more development than those that are not, and as well can grow faster as security can be picked up by the Turians, letting budgets be placed into more important fields elsewhere.

There is a notable issue in regards to the territory within UEG space. Ever since 2208, the relays were being used to colonize the galaxy at a fast rate, and once the translight engine was developed, the speed of development was increased greatly. The rather hefty Human populations that strangled the Sol system spread out over the years and a population growth known as the Baby Boom of 2224 which lasted from 2224 to 2229 pushed a high demand for expansion, whether it was truly needed or not. Add the expanse of the UEG joining the greater galaxy and being lent a locale of relay space to use and develop, and Human population and space grew in a massive influx. What started as a few notable colonies, plus three in the nearest star system, quickly grew into a mass of territory in a few decades.

Because of this, the UNSC finds itself in a bit of a worry, the Inner colonies are ensured and protected hard with the largest and most powerful fleets, but the outer colonies have lighter defenses, especially at Relays. Currently the UEG requires the help of the Turian Hierarchy to ensure their colonies near the relays can stay safe from the worst of potential threats. While the development of the Super MAC and cheap glass canons known as drone sloops, are meant to help bolster the outer colonies. However only those colonies on the edge of the Terminus are of current worry, its not like there are any zealots that are gonna cause a divide due to this comparatively unchecked growth.

Due to the rather "startling" growth of Humanity's worlds, the rest of Citadel space is weary of Human goals, ambitions and actions, primarily because Humanity introducing several technologies that nearly crashed the galactic market, receive special treatment, and momentarily halt the Turian Hierarchy and even deal a blow against them. Humanity's aptitude at war has lead them to being able to make themselves seem much more dangerous than they are, and the galaxy is unnerved by how quickly Humanity can pull off the metaphorical kids gloves, to reveal a set of brass knuckles. However regardless, the UEG and UNSC are largely paranoid of potential dangerous, at least to other sin the galaxy, it is more so caution they take than anything else, due to galactic disputes within the Attican Traverse (Primarily the Skyllian Verge) between them and the Batarian Hegemony.
