Mabrycg Company [Rostil V4]

Fate: Merged with Maxwell Industries

Founded: 1904

Defunct: 1960

Headquarters: Bruhl, Euro-Asia

The Mabrycg Company was an arms manufacturing company in the United States of Euro-Asia. It was founded in 1904 and later merged with Maxwell Industries in 1960. The Mabrycg Company is most famous for its Lancaar Anti-Tank Rocket Lances that served in both the Euro-Asian and Russo-Spanish militaries in the Great War, and later in both the militaries of Euro-Asia and Estainia in the Schayne Plains War.

History:

Origins and The Great War
The Mabrycg Arms Company was founded in the small town of Mabrycg, Euro-Asia by Milo Derrick in 1904. Until the start of the Great War, Mabrycg only manufactured sidearms and hunting rifles in direct competition with the Siegbahn Firearms Company.

When the Great War broke out in 1913, Mabrycg started out manufacturing the Russo-Spanish Ostrov Armory 1898 rifles under license, much like Mabrycg's rival, Siegbahn. However, intelligence from Eurasian agents working in Belkaland pointed to the disturbing reports of the Belkans creating armoured vehicles known as Tanks. Using these intelligence reports as a basis, Mabrycg's lead designer, Roddy Sims, began work on a weapon to counter the reported armoured vehicles.

The Lancaar Mk.1, the first in the Lancaar
series of Anti-Tank Rocket Lances, and the
basis for the LinkMk.1R, Mk.2, LinkMk.3, LinkMk.3R
and Mk.4.

In late 1915, after much design work and testing, Mabrycg unveiled to the Euro-Asian military the first of the Lancaar Anti-Tank Rocket Lances, the Lancaar Mk.1. It entered production and service in mid-to-late 1916, during the late stages of the Battle of Katowice in Poland-Lithuania. Their introduction was just in time, as the Belkans began using their tanks in conjunction with their Sturmtruppen (Stormtroopers) in early 1917.

The Lancaars were such high demand that even Mabrycg's rival, Siegbahn, was commissioned by the Euro-Asian Parliament to produce the Lancaar models under license.

Over time, the basic Lancaar model would be refined to create the Lancaar Mk.1R, Mk.2, Mk.3, and Mk.3R, with the Mk.4 entering service by the end of the war.

The Lancaar-SH Mk.1 mortar, the basis for
the improved -SH Mk.2.

The Great War also saw the need for a mortar derivative of the Lancaars as a counter to the mortars used by Belkaland's Stormtroopers, who gained notoriety in the Battle of Katowice. This created the Lancaar-SH Mk.1 and -SH Mk.2, which were used to great effect in the Euro-Asian and Russo-Spanish advance into Belkaland and later on, the Allied Coalition's advance into Beusuandille, to which its deadliest use was in the Battle of Selene in house-to-house fighting.

The Inter-War Years and the Schayne Plains War
After the war, the Mabrycg Arms Company moved its headquarters to Bruhl, Euro-Asia, near the northern foothills of the Waldreich Mountains. With this change in location, the company changed its name to the Mabrycg Company. It was because of the Mabrycg Company's move that Bruhl eventually became Euro-Asia's tenth largest city. The company reverted back to building sidearms and hunting rifles, in competition with both Siegbahn-Newton and its rival, Maxwell Industries.

The Lancaar Mk.5, the basis for the LinkMk.5R,
Mk.6 and Mk.7.

The arms build up of the 1940's allowed the company to regain some of the profits it lost in the post-Great War years. In 1943, Mabrycg unveiled the Lancaar Mk.5, which entered service in both the Euro-Asian and Estainian militaries a year later. 1945 and 1947, the company improved the Mk.5 to make the Mk.5R, Mk.6 and Mk.7, which, despite being outmoded by newer Birkanian tanks like the T-34/85 and T-44, served to the best of their abilities.

The Lancaar Mk.10, the basis for the LinkMk.10R,
Mk.11, Mk.12, and ultimately, the LinkMk.20
and LinkMk.20R

When the Schayne Plains War broke out in 1949, the Lancaar Mk.5R, Mk.6 and Mk.7 were outclassed by the new generation of Birkanian tanks. In response to this, Roddy Sims, the company's lead designer, decided to up the destructive power of the Lancaar models. The result was the Lancaar Mk.10, which continued to be refined over the course of the war to create the Mk.10R, Mk.11 and Mk.12, with the Mk.20 and Mk.20R entering service by the 1953 and served till the end of the war.

The Lancaar-SH Mk.10, the basis for the -SH
Mk.11
, -SH Mk.12, and ultimately, the Link-SH
Mk.20

The company's Lancaar-SH mortars were also improved during the course of the war, the results were the Lancaar-SH Mk.10, -SH Mk.11 and -SH Mk.12, with the -SH Mk.20 entering service by the end of the war.

Merger with Maxwell Industries
After the end of the Schayne Plains War, the advance of technology forced new thinking in the Euro-Asian Military. The Lancaar series and Lancaar-SH series were beginning to be seen as outdated in the advance of armoured technology with newer and better armour for tanks coming about. Despite sales to Estainia, the Mabrycg Company was losing money in reflection of newer technology in warfare.

The final shove came when the Euro-Asian Army and Marines were reformed to conform to the advances in battlefield technology during the course of twenty years. Deeming the Lancaar series to no longer be of use, the Lancer class of infantry was changed to the Grenadier class in 1959, the first infantry class to fall to these reforms.

In 1960, on the verge of bankruptcy, the Mabrycg Company put itself up for sale. It's buyer, Maxwell Industries was kind enough to keep the Lancaar Mk.20R and Lancaar-SH Mk.20 production lines open for continued sales to Estainia, and to keep the Lancaar-SH mortars going for the Euro-Asian Military until its Mortar class of infantry was modernized in the late 1960's.
