Naval Monte Experimental Defense Force

The Naval Monte Experimental Defense Group (NMEDG) or "Future Shock Force" is a division within the Defense Force to design and test out the latest experimental weapons' equipments, and vehicles. Due to it's nature not only are some of the weapons and vehicles in here are beyond top secret but are limited too. Most weapons and vehicles that pass their tests and get a seal of approve are than moved away from the NMEDG and are placed into the their respect branch in the military, however some stay in the NMEDG since members of the Shadow Defense Group use them and by staying in the Experimental Defense Group their secret statues can be maintained.

Experimental Weapons and Equipment

Active protection system is a system designed to prevent anti-armor line-of-sight weapons from acquiring and/or destroying a target.

Electronic countermeasures that alter the electromagnetic, acoustic or other signature(s) of a target thereby altering the tracking and sensing behavior of an incoming threat (e.g., guided missile) are designated softkill measures.

Measures that physically counterattack an incoming threat thereby destroying/altering its payload/warhead in such a way that the intended effect on the target is severely impeded are designated hardkill measures. Many vehicles within the NMEDG is equipped with this advanced countermeasure system, and in the Ground Defense Force a few vehicles are already equipped with it.

Nanocores (also affectionately known as Eggs) are amphibious vehicles built by the Empire of the Rising Sun which, when deployed, transform into a building. Using hologram projectors to indicate what it unpacks into these robots use nanotechnology rapidly change into any building needed by Naval Monte. These are usually the first things made by MVCs.

XS1 Goliath is a manually piloted mechanized suit of advanced armor. Armaments of the Goliath includes GAU-3/A chain gun, Mk4 Micro Rocket, and Homing Rockets. It's amrour is a Titanium-Dorcha MK I Mesh, Kevlar Underweave, it provides superhuman strength, endurance, and speed to those who wear it.

The Garou Exoskeletons are power suits that grant the wears superhuman abilities. The first things most wearers will realize is that the suits grant them enhanced strength, endurance, speed, and agility. Other abilities include long cable located on the wrest to help move the wear from long distance, the hands have powerful magnets that can allow the wearer to climb and hold on walls. On the wrests like the cables can deploys a wrist-mounted riot shield that momentarily blocks enemy fire. The suit can also allow the wearer to temporarily become invisible and to temporarily regenerate all non lethal wounds. They also posses hover packs to all them to jump higher, perform double jumps, a trophy defense system tro deploy a force field, allowing for instant deflection and detonation of enemy projectiles. and to stop their falls and they can temporarily reduce movement sound.

Based on the Harmonic Resonance technology, this station carries a sonic cannon originally designed for psychological warfare like typical LRADs. However it was proven to posses the same destructive power as the Distrupter. Like the Distrupter it too has settings that can make it into non lethal to becoming a sonic reaper as it defend Montean bases and outposts.

An application of Harmonic Resonance technology, sonic repulsor fields are specialized barriers developed by the NMEDF. Continuous sonic waves are emitted from posts, creating a stationary repulsion field. these sonic walls are use to stop incoming enemy projectile, making them excellent for defensive fencings around key structures, preventing infiltration or sabotage, as well as keeping Commandos/Special Forces from destroying the structures with their explosives. The fields also increase the armor of the structures, however the shield can be taken down once the hub is destroyed, or units can enter or destroy areas or buildings within the field by using aircraft

Experimental Ground Vehicles and Robots

The Behemoth is a bipedal walking tank constructed to the "missing link" between infantry and artillery. Like infantry it has the ability to roam around freely in the battlefield but lacks the weaknesses of both being vulnerable and lacking enough fire power, while be able to inflect immense damage upon an opponent while resisting similar damage like artillery Behemoth is not under the mercy of the terrain. Being essentially a tank with legs it's able to quickly traverse the battlefield, dealing and repealing force the likes of which none of ever seen on the modern battlefield. However Behemoth took a darker turn during the Cold War were it was discovered that it can server as a mobile nuclear platform similar in purpose to ballistic missile submarines. As of now it's still in it's VR training phase but soon it will join an actual battlefield.

Operation: Behemoth is operated by a single pilot within a completely self-enclosed cockpit, shut off from the outside environment. The radome on Behemoth's left arm houses multiple electronic sensors that are connected to a high tech virtual reality interface within the pilot's seat. Destruction of the radome, however, cuts off the sensory data feed and renders the VR interface inoperative, forcing the pilot to manually operate Behemoth by opening the cockpit, which also exposed it to enemy fire. There are rumors that suggest that this flaw was deliberately engineered as the chief engineers of the Behemoth project felt that this flaw would appear regardless if they tired to make it perfect.

Armament: Behemoth possesses a near-impenetrable compound armor (of which only HEAT weapons could deal sufficient damage). For weapons to deal with enemies it has pair of 30mm, XGAU-8R rotary cannons, AGM-114P anti-tank missiles, and a free-electron variant of the Mobile Tactical High-Energy Laser (MTHEL-FE) to protect itself from conventional forces. Its feet also possesses retractable metal stake-like protrusions, which are use to find purchase on difficult terrain, and could be employed in "stomp" attacks on an enemy. The AGM-114P anti-tank missiles are launched from both Behemoth's knees and back, they are laser semi-active homing type that didn't use wires. The launchers use a low-powered laser illuminator to bounce a coded laser beam off a target that the missile would then home in on. The free-electron laser cannon mounted on Behemoth's belly is capable of generating almost 100 megawatts of energy, ten times greater than any other laser currently made.

Behemoth 's most fearsome weapon, however, is the magnetic rail gun capable of delivering any untraceable nuclear warheads anywhere in the world, without the propellant trail or launch flare that gives away the launch position of a traditional ballistic missile. By perfecting the process of electromagnetic acceleration, the rail gun is able to fire a projectile with a muzzle velocity of over 100 kilometers per second. Likewise, the damage radius of the nukes upon impact is at approximately 300 meters, and it needs precision if aiming at a moving object. While it can deliver untraceable nuclear warheads anywhere in the world most are concern with using it for conventional warfare and which to use it's magnetic rail gun as the ultimate sniper rifle.

Interestingly Behemoth is also installed with a "Street Fighter" software control program into Behemoth that not only gives it an agility boost, but enabled it to execute kicking and other melee moves, which would be lethal to many military vehicles.

The Gnome Walker a single-man mobile walker equipped with heavy caliber gatling guns capable of tearing even the most thickly armored infantry to ribbons. These units, being essentially ride vehicles with mechanized legs replacing wheels, offered their operators a great deal of mobility and speed, even in heavy hostile environments. Their speed, combined with their powerful weapons, make the Gnome incredibly lethal to enemy infantry, who would often find themselves chased down and destroyed if they were attacked without anti-vehicle support. On the flip-side, the Wolverine also served as a potent infantry buffing unit for friendly infantry forces; a squad of infantry with a few Gnomes thrown in had a much better chance of surviving an assault then a purely "fleshy" one. The mechanized battlesuits were also useful for supporting heavier Naval Montean walkers, such as the Golem.

Like most anti-infantry vehicles, the Gnome came with a few notable weaknesses. As a speedy vehicle driven by a single operator, the Gnome boasted comparatively thin armor that offered little protection against heavy ordinance. Even the lightest combat vehicles could do sufficient damage to the Gnome, with many larger ones having the power to destroy them effortlessly. On top of this, the Gnome's gatling guns, while deadly to infantry, could do only the most superficial damage to larger vehicles.

The Gnome can also be changed around to posses different weapons other than it's traditional gatling guns, these weapons include but not limited to railguns, high powered lasers, flamethrowers, liquid nitrogen thrower, electric gel thrower, and tesla coils

The Golem main battlewalker is a 25 feet tall and armed with a 120mm side-mounted cannon, the Golem suffers from lack of speed and inability to effectively counter infantry units. The faster Gnome were used for this purpose, although it should be noted that Golem, especially in these large groups, could simply crush infantry under their massive feet. Mass deployment of Golem walkers are almost impossible, especially in an urban setting.

This unit is very useful in attacking bases, and unlike units with catepillar and wheel chassis, it can crush not only infantries but non-walker ground vehicles.

While it's chassis is stronger than most tanks armor the walker is equipped with an Active Defense System, creating a force field to deflects rockets, missiles, tank shells, and railgun slugs fired from other vehicles (friendly or foe). The main cannon like it's Gnome counterpart also has different versions.

The Telchine serves as a mobile rrtillery gun/walker, possessing great range and power that make it perfect for siege warfare. The Telchine combines Naval Montean Naval and Walker technology by fitting three large-caliber naval guns to a modified Golem chassis. The Techine cannot fire while mobile; in order to use it's powerful artillery guns, it needs to plant itself in the ground first, a process which takes around two seconds to complete. Once implanted, it will can fire at any target inside it's attack radius; in order for it to attack anything outside that radius, it must rise back up, move to a close spot, and then plant itself again.

Erdgeist is a large quadrupedal walker designed to be the most powerful ground unit in the battlefield, able to win in an one-on-one match against most targets, and also able to hit more than one target at a time using the railguns. Its armor is resistant to many direct energy weapons and it is armed to destroy both ground and air targets. In various tests it was proven that a lone Erdgeists can destroy entire bases in a matter of minutes, annihilating any form of resistance.

A pair of large experimental railguns, capable of laying waste to almost all targets, were mounted on both sides. The entire vehicle needed to be turned to aim them laterally. The chin-mounted autocannon and dorsal SAM launchers were placed in independently traversing turrets.

The Erdgeist like many of the other walkers has an experimental self-repair systems to assist it's longevity on the battlefield.

Hover Multiple Launch Rocket System is seen as a possible future replacement to Naval Monte's current rocket system. heavier armor than it's predecessor, although not as much as either the Walkers or the Vulcan main battle tank. Its main advantage, instead, is from Naval Monte's use of hovertech to propel the MLRS. No longer would the vehicle be forced to remain on land. This unit could also maneuver in calm bodies of water, crossing rivers or even entire oceans if necessary. Furthermore, this means that the Hover MLRS unit was also quite fast, making it an able scout.

Distrupter is an advanced anti-armour unit that utilizes that can fire a powerful turreted harmonic resonance cannon. The technology for the Disruptor units developed by the NMEDG centers around special sonic crystals. These, when under power and placed in special equipment, would generate a highly destructive wave of sonic energy. The might of these waves would be harnessed by NMEDG, who, by using specially designed Disruptor turrets, would amplify the waves with a large, reflective dish and with the same dish project them against foes and installations on the battlefield.

When switched to infrasound mode it can cause vertigo and nausea at 200–400 metres (220–440 yd) by vibrating the middle ear bones and shaking the cochlear fluid within the inner ear. At distances of 50–200 metres (160–660 ft), the sound waves could act on organ tissues and fluids by repeatedly compressing and releasing compressive resistant organs such as the kidneys, spleen, and liver. (It had little detectable effect on malleable organs such as the heart, stomach and intestines.) Lung tissue is affected at only the closest ranges as atmospheric air is highly compressible and only the blood rich alveoli resist compression.

Utilizing state-of-the-art, air-assisted levitation technology, the Type 33 Zeme hover tank is the very latest in armored combat, boasting unmatched mobility across almost any topography. The Zeme incorporates NxRA technology into its composite armor base and uses an Active Defense System to ward off high impact, airborne weapon attacks. It also matches the A-8's attack capabilities with a driver-controlled cannon and second position repeater.

Strangely it can't cross large bodies of water yet suffers no problems when it comes to smaller bodies.

The Type-36 Abnoba is a light-armored vehicle developed to have the same hover technology as the Type 33 Zeme and HMLRS. The Abnoba's offensive capabilities are impressive. The pilot has a pair of autocannons, however they are difficult to use since they fire from both sides of the hull.

The passenger has access to a fast-firing grenade launcher which is very effective against infantry and a TV missile, the same kind featured on the gunships. Like the HMLRS it can cross any body of water easily.

Hunter-Sekker droid is a HoverTech suicide droid. Once launched, it automatically locates and attacks the enemy base, even if it is out of sight or stealthed. Thus, a commander can easily find an enemy base by looking at its course. The droid moves at extreme speeds and is impossible to destroy en route.

While the drone is exceptionally powerful, be able to destroy any unit or structure in one attack the droid does not reveal new territory and cannot aim. Therefore it randomly goes for a target.

Limpet Drone are deploys as a mine and waits for a target to pass over. The drone spot-welds itself to the underside of the target. Once attached the drone interferes with the electrical systems, usually resulting in a loss of speed, and relays terrain and tactical data back to its controller or designated radar facility from its sensor/camera device.

Mobile construction vehicles is the future heart of Naval Montean battle force. The previous MCVs used simple hydraulic technology to unfold into portable construction yards but years of research and development has made the technology for more advance than how they were before with the latest incarnations being heavily computerized and having amphibious capability, they can be deployed into a Construction Yard even in water.

Once in it's construction yard form it can creat all important buildings and defense anywhere in the battlefield as long as they stay close to the MCV. All Construction Yards can repack into an MCV, should their position come under heavy enemy fire.

The Vak Zin is a heavy armored fighting vehicle developed for the Ground Defense Force of Naval Monte. The tank has superior mobility compared to its traditional counterparts, as it has four vehicle treads that can double as legs in order to traverse rough terrain and avoid a variety of manmade or natural obstacles.

Onboard offensive weapons constitute a smoothbore cannon (which can be replaced for either a railgun or laser cannon), a machine gun turret and twin rocket launchers. Its defensive weapons include a trophy system, which intercepts any incoming projectiles headed for the vehicle and an EMP device that is capable of disabling any enemy electronics within the vicinity of the tank, including unmanned drones.

The Wraith Stealth Tank provides valuable mobile anti-air support along with anti-tank firepower. Their stealth and speed make them excellent scouts. What makes this tank unique is the stealth generator that be using light-bending electromagnetic fields can make an object or person invisible.

The Tsunami Tank is an experimental Amphibious main battle tank. Although light and small, it is far more technologically advanced than Psamathe Amphibious Main battle tank that is currently in use by the Ground Defense Force. It's armed with a cannon that fires some kind of blue darts, which can be seen if you look closely. The Tsunami tank also has the Kagami Armour that, when triggered, activates an invisible army of nanomachines which sacrifice themselves to repel the next attack against the Tsunami, compensating for its light armour somewhat.

The Sudden Transport shows that not everything in the Experimental Defense Force flashy, they understand that even the most powerful war machine or mighty soldier is often useless without a means to ferry them to their targets, the Sudden Transport, an amphibious transport vessel fulfills that role. Though unarmed and lightly armoured, the Sudden Transport makes up for these flaws with a unique stealth camoflague system that allows it to mimic the appearance of enemy vehicles. With this device, the Sudden Transport is able to slip through enemy lines and sneak their way past defenses, allowing them to deploy Montean troops at vulnerable enemy positions in the rear.

he Future Tank X-1 is a humanoid-esque, remote-operated drone vehicle designed to combine the latest in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Armor technology in Naval Monte or anywhere else in the Earth really. While the slowest unit in the EDF it sacrificed it's speed for being the most durable unit in the EDF, even being as durable as the Behemoth. The vehicle's standard armament lacked a direct approach; outfitted with a pair of arm-mounted 'Neutron Scramblers,' Future Tanks could fire concentrated bursts of explosive energy at a target which would detonate and expand outward in a wide radius, dealing significant damage to any enemy unit within the sphere of effect. Utilized in groups, successive blasts from this weapon had the ability to obliterate entire divisions of enemy forces in mere seconds.

When the Scrambler couldn't provide needed expediency, the weapon's own heat sinks could be directed to unleash a powerful beam of concentrated energy capable of one-shoting any unit (or group of units) caught in its path. Indeed, only the most durable of structures - a Construction Yard or Superweapon - stood any chance of surviving the attack of this so-called 'Riot Laser,' albeit in a state of near-collapse.

The Wave Force Artillery is a devastating, if fragile and costly, artillery piece created by the EDF. It is able to annihilate foes with high powered destructive blasts of particle beam energy, but can also sacrifice killing power for an increased rate of fire. Anything that gets caught within a Wave Force firing a destructive beam and its target will be instantly destroyed. They are often kept to the rear ranks of Naval Montean forces and are usually used as mop up forces with escorts due to their fragility and cost.

the Wave-Force uses a powerful generator to harmonize the waveforms of heavy matter particles. As each molecule is aligned, the matter begins to resonate, and soon this closed system takes on tremendous destructive potential. At the moment in which the system's energy can no longer be contained in the supercapacitors, all of it is channeled in a powerful long-range beam, which can tear through most known matter. Chaos and devastation consume all that comes in contact with this beam, yet the effects are so focused and precise that the Wave-Force Artillery can effectively be used to minimize collateral damage if necessary.

Experimental Sea Vessels

The Morrigan-Class Battleship is a trainman super battleship. While there was initial difficulties in making in coming up with an armor scheme that would give this three hulled ships a high level of protection, the Morrigan is very well armored and having three floating bodies makes the vessel harder to sink. In addition, the three hull design allows for a wider space for weapons, systems, and other vehicles than would be possible on a single hull design of about the same displacement. The ship carries its powerful engines high in the primary hull which reduces the noise in the water greatly. While the ship is not as fast as was first thought and not as fast as other experimental Trimaran ships, it is the fastest ship of its size ever constructed and on trial runs these huge ships have all exceeded 30 knots. The ship is also equipped with many advanced systems that are also used by other ships in the Future Shock force , in particular when it comes to both radar and sonar capabilities. The designers constructed the Doujin Class battleship using Radar Absorbent Materials extensively in the design. As a result, missiles using radar guidance to pinpoint locations on the Doujin have a decreased effectiveness. The Doujin also carries a powerful ECM system. The Morrigan as of now is the only one of it's class.

APAR 12 Type B:
An incredibly advanced radar and computer system first developed for the another ship, it far surpasses the Aegis system on most other naval vessels. Powerful and flexible radar system that is comprised of four panels that each emit radar waves. If allowed by the horizon, the system can track out to 800 miles (1280 km) and can simultaneously track and identify up to 1392 targets at one time. The system controls missile launched from the long range missile launchers and the system track and guide each individual missile to a individual target for up to 476 targets. If a target is eliminated, missiles are automatically guided to a new target. The system can also control missiles launched from other linked vessels as well and can also act as fire control for gun mounts.

Both a upper-lateral anda lower-lateral array are fitted in order to ensure 360 degree coverage of the airborne theatre Two reserve arrays are also carried. Short-range AS18 Suites are installed to provide back CIWS guidance and close range tracking of multiple targets.

Advanced Hull Sonar (Adapted FT-SN22 Suite):
Mounted under the bow of the ship. Range of 25 miles (21.7 nm / 40.2 km). This hull sonar system has both a passive and active system built in, with the passive arrays also spread across the auxiallary hull flanks in order to ensure maximum sonar coverage. The Sonar system can track up to 48 targets at one time.

Advanced Towed Array Sonar System:
The system is basically a long and very sensitive sonar system carried behind the ship on a long cable. Range of 100 miles (86.9 nm / 160.9 km) in passive mode. This towed array sonar system has both a passive and active system built in. Sonar system can track up to 81 targets at one time.

Sonar Masking System:
The hull is designed to minimize noise from the hull and uses water bubbles to form a barrier against sonar as well.

Combination Radar Detectors and Active Jamming System:
Combination of radar detection systems (ESM) and an active jamming system. The system can detect another radar system at 125% of the range of the transmitting radar.

Command and Control Capabilities:
Design to be the future flagship of the Naval Monte Maritime Defense Force, it's command and control facilities are extensive. It can track all Montean Naval movements, and is directly connected with GPS Sattelites to provide real-time tracking of all Naval Montean ships. It is tied in with the defense systems along the Naval Montean coastline, and can effectively keep track of all enemy movements within sensor range of any Naval Montean vessel or defensive position. The Morrigan has more proccessing power than any other Battleship. Captain Shay Patrick Cormac is acting as the current captain of the Morrigan.

Visby Class

The design of the Visby has been directed to minimising the optical and infra-red signature, above water acoustic and hydroacoustic signature, underwater electrical potential and magnetic signature, pressure signature, radar cross section and actively emitted signals. A stealth corvette of the YS 2000 design has a detection range of 13km in rough seas and 22km in calm sea without jamming. In a jammed environment, the Visby would be detected at a range of 8km in rough sea and 11km in calm sea. The hull material is a sandwich construction comprising a PVC core with a carbon fibre and vinyl laminate. The material provides high strength and rigidity, low weight, good shock resistance, low radar and magnetic signature.

COMMAND AND CONTROL The vessel's CETRIS C3 (command, control and communications) system consists of the SaabTech Vectronics (formerly CelsiusTech) 9LV Mk3E combat management system, the MAST decision support aid and the integrated communications system. The 9LV Mk 3 is based on open system architecture and uses the Windows NT operating system. The SaabTech CEROS 200 radar and optronic fire control system has been ordered for the Visby and will be fully integrated into the combat management system. The communications system has a high capacity digital communications switch, developed by Danish company Maersk Data Defence (formerly Infocom) together with Karlskrona, which interconnects the voice and data communications channels. The system provides internal communications or open conference lines and access to external communications with various radio links and land-based networks.

MISSILES Visby vessels will not initially be fitted with an air defence missile system, but could later be equipped with one, such as the Saab Bofors Dynamics Rb23 BAMSEA or Raytheon Evolved Seasparrow Missile. The corvettes will be equipped with eight Saab Bofors Dynamics RBS 15 anti-ship missiles. The missiles will be installed below deck and be fired through special hatches to maintain the vessel's stealth. The missile's exhaust plumes will be managed in separate canals. ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE The Visby is equipped with a suite of ASW 127mm rocket powered grenade launchers, depth charges and torpedoes. There are three fixed 400mm torpedo tubes for Tp 45 anti-submarine homing torpedoes. Saab Dynamics are developing the ALECTO multi-mission launcher to equip the Visby Class. The launcher will be able to dispense ASW weapons, torpedo countermeasures and chaff and infrared decoy rounds.

GUN The Visby is equipped with a Bofors 57mm 70 SAK Mark III general purpose gun. The gun has a fully automatic loading system containing 120 rounds of ready-to-fire ammunition. The gun fires up to 220 rounds/minute to a maximum range of 17,000m. MINE COUNTERMEASURES (MCM) The Visby will carry Saab Bofors Underwater system ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) for mine hunting and the STN Atlas Elektronik Seafox ROV for mine disposal. The minehunting ROVs are a development of the Double Eagle Mk III. The Visby corvettes will be fitted with the Hydra multi-sonar suite from Computing Devices Canada (CDC), which integrates data from a passive towed array sonar, dual frequency active variable depth sonar (VDS), hull-mounted sonar and the ROVs.

SENSORS Ericsson's Sea Giraffe AMB 3D C-band multi-role radar provides air and surface surveillance and tracking and target indication to weapon systems. It features 3D agile multi-beam technology and can handle multiple threats up to 20,000m (65,000ft) at elevations up to 70°. ECCM (electronic counter countermeasures) capabilities include ultra-low antenna sidelobes and both frequency and code agility. The antenna has a rotation rate of 30rpm for surveillance and 60rpm for air defence. There is also an I-band surface search and I/J band fire control radar.

COUNTERMEASURES The CS-3701 Tactical Radar Surveillance System (TRSS) from EDO Reconnaissance & Surveillance Systems provides Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) functions.

PROPULSION The Visby is equipped with a combined diesel and gas (CODAG) turbine arrangement. Four TF 50 A gas turbines from Honeywell and two MTU 16V 2000 N90 diesel motors are connected to two gearboxes which run two Kamewa waterjet propulsors. The motors provide a maximum speed of 15 knots for long duration and 35 knots for short duration. The ship has rudders and bowthrusters for harbour manoeuvring.

Experimental Aircrafts and Drones

One of the most strangest and emblematic examples of Naval Montean ingenuity (and possibly insanity) is this dual-form pilot-assisted combat robot known as the Mecha Harpy. Being named after the Grceo-Roman mythological monster that were said to be part woman and part bird that steal food from their victims while they are eating and carry evildoers (especially those who have killed their family) to the Erinyes. The original legends once stated that they were wind spirits. Like it's namesake the Harpy can fly and infact never touches the ground as its boosters and stabilizers (which are the arms and legs) allow it to hover a few meters above any surface. By skating across this layer of air, the Harpy can ignore many types of terrain obstacles that would normally slow down infantry or simpler vehicles. When engaged in combat, the Harpy fights using a pair of kinetic burst-firing autocannons mounted on either side of its air intake.

In the blink of an eye, the Mecha Harpy can switch to Jet Harpy mode, which has the much-more-conventional shape of a fighter aircraft. This configuration lets the unit travel at much greater top speeds and at high altitudes, such that its weapons can be brought to bear against other aircraft. Using advance VTOL technology the jet can hover in the air just like it would in it's Mecha Form. The Mecha Harpy also has Four pivoting hardpoints under the wings, mostly consisting of both two laser and two particle cannons. Another unique system within the Mecha Harpy is the Signature Generator. these devices, when activated, emit a large number of radar signatures of varying intensity, fooling enemy radars into displaying a small fleet of Mecha Harpy as a large attack force, forcing the enemy to divert his forces to counter the non-existent army. However, these signature generators are naturally not equipped with holographic projectors, meaning that enemy forces arriving on the scene quickly realize that there were far fewer attacking forces than they had thought.

Striker-VX, a pilot-assisted mech that can spew out missiles into the air and transform into a helicopter (known as the Chopper-VX) to combat incoming ground targets. In its Striker-VX form, it can only fire at aircraft with its surface-to-air missiles. In this mode, it can move around on land but, cannot move on water. Because of its relatively light weight, it cannot crush infantry with its feet, but grants them a faster walking speed, giving them a chance to run away from anti-armor units.

In its Chopper-VX form, it can destroy any vehicle, ship or structure below it easily. Although its missiles can destroy armoured targets faster than any other helicopter currently made, it is proven to far less effective against infantry, a drawback that puzzles the Naval Monteans. Since all of its firepower is directed towards the ground, it has no defense against aircraft, making them prime targets for air-superiority fighters, as such it must be guard when in Chopper form.

Because of their maneuverability, they are very effective as scouts and also for raiding enemy stragglers and bases and their ability to transform provides a degree of flexibility unparalleled by most aircrafts.

Doubtlessly one of the more impressive feats of Naval Montean engineering to date, the Sea-Wing is a stealthy submersible whose sealed hull and specially designed locomotors let it rise up and out of the water in the form of an anti-surface strike craft, the Sky-Wing. This makes it perhaps the most maneuverable craft in the Imperial military, which, considering the extreme mobility of many of Naval Monte's experimental fighting forces, is saying a lot.

While lurking undersea, the Sea-Wing is nearly undetectable to scanners, and could almost be mistaken for a large mechanical devil ray. Once it has detected enemy aircraft, it surfaces to unleash a rapid seeking-rocket barrage against its foes. The rockets are disturbingly accurate even at range, and sea-wings seem to carry no shortage of them either. In Sky-Wing form, the vehicle seems to use the propulsions from its rockets to help keep it aloft, while using a single swivel-mounted energy weapon to attack surface targets. The weapon causes intense burns, and has proven deadly against unarmored targets in particular--especially ones ill-equipped to take on a fast-moving aircraft like the Sky-Wing.

The way in which the Sea-Wing transitions to the Sky-Wing and back is almost bizarre, in that the vehicle simply turns end over end like a coin-flip. How Sea-Wing pilots are able to withstand this, in addition to the G-forces of subsonic rises and submerges, is anyone's guess, though the cockpit of the vehicle is believed to be suspended in a sort of gyroscopic mounting. At any rate, piloting such a craft must take incredible skill, especially since the Sea-Wing's slender form means it is relatively fragile and dependent on its mobility for protection. The Democratic Republic of Naval Monte, having a considerably smaller population than its rival and ally nations, must be training only the best of the best to commandeer these unusual vessels.

BTR-24 Stribog is a durable yet slow VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) transport vehicle It features a "fool proof" flight system that allows the vehicle to level its flight path and slowly travel forward if the pilot lets go of the controls.

It seats seven people, but only the pilot is fully protected; both the passengers controlling the cannons and the ones sitting on the sides are exposed to small arms fire and, more importantly, splash damage.

The Type 4 Zhinü is a VTOL aircraft and gunship designed by the NMEDF The gunship combines the speed of a fixed-wing aircraft with agility and hover abilities of a helicopter. This is good, as it is only half as durable as UD-12 Shepherd or BTR-24 Stribog - a single tank shell or few shots from an anti-air gun will destroy the gunship outright or leave it burning, giving the passengers inside just enough time to bail out.

UD-12 Latobius VTOL was developed with a single purpose, to convey military personnel into the combat arena, dropping soldiers via spherical, quick-drop escape pods. F/A-37 Meztli is single-seat stealth jet fighter for the Naval Montean Experimental Force with hopes of it moving towards both the Maritime Defense Force and Air Defense Force. The Meztlis capable of hypersonic flight with two combined Pulse Detonation/Scramjet engines. The Meztli has stealth capability, along with movable, forward sweep, switchblade wings, an internal cannon for close-in fights, and an internal rotary launcher with a wide variety of ordnance, including GAU-12 Equalizer, AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles, AGM-130C air-to-surface missiles, FAEs, or fuel air explosives, of an unknown variety, and Truncheon implosion bombs.

It has a Common Integrated Processor (CIP), a central "brain" capable of making damage assessments, not just on enemy forces, but on collateral and civilian casualties as well. The CIP can make complex calculations, like estimating nuclear fallout, or projecting odds of survival.

The Meztli is capable of precise attacks with minimal destruction. Each pilot has a view-screen for each wingman. Controls are streamlined; the computer communicates through voice and projection displays. The Meztlis had transponders that directly linked with the pilots homebase or a carrier's advanced flight center. The Meztli has a self-destruct system in case of system failure.

The Valkyrie is designed from the ground up with the sole purpose of supporting ground forces by obliterating their opposition. The vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) system allows them to deploy at forward air bases close to the front lines. (In fact, Valkyrie crews spend the vast majority of their time forward deployed, and few enjoy the amenities so often attributed to them by the infantry.) In addition, the tempo of the ground war dictates that crews fly missions almost non-stop, pausing only when days of continuous operations finally force the crews to take a brief rest lest they collapse from sheer exhaustion.

Once over their target, Valkyries employ one of the most potent and feared weapon systems of any military aircraft, the BD8 "Bandarilla" laser-guided bomb. The multi-spectrum laser painter, housed in a pod on the underside of the aircraft, guides the bomb unfailingly to its target, resistant to nearly all known counter measures. Any target that find itself "designated" can look forward to a very brief existence before being loosed from its earthly bonds by the BD8's massive warhead.

B2-X Century Bomber is is the embodiment of Naval Monte's policy of managing contested airsapces. With a VTOL design, superior amenities and a high fuel capacity, the Century bomber is able to carry a large payload of high explosive bombs to rain on the enemy. The service on the Centuries is an honour, with many airmen/airwomen vying for the job (assuming they are aware of it's existence).

It sports a highly sophisticated design, making use of many advanced systems and engineering advancements, notably jointed wings for optimal storage and brushed-aluminium outer hull to resist soot and rust. To protect Naval Montean secrets, each Century Bomber is programmed to explode in case of crash landing.

The cryocopter is stable and dependable as helicopters go. An ancillary benefit of its sophisticated on-board systems is a surprisingly strong fuselage, proven to be able to withstand direct fire. Of course, their durability is hardly what makes them so impressive. That credit goes primarily to the aircraft's custom cryobeam, used to draw out all heat in an area while spraying it with pure water and a burst of liquid helium, causing a flash-freeze that can encase an entire enemy tank in a block of solid ice.

Frozen targets are effectively thrust into a state of suspended animation. The effects of the freezing gradually wear off and the target snaps out of the effect all at once, with no recollection of the passage of time, as though waking from slumber. In fact, a majority of test subjects reported feeling unusually relaxed after this fugue state. Although research findings concerning the long-term effects of the freezing are inconclusive as of yet, the cryobeam has provisionally been deemed "perfectly safe" by the copter's designers. However, studies by other scientists in the EDF has disclosed that frozen targets do tend to become extremely brittle, such that a basic concussive impact could cause them irreparable harm. One test subject unfortunately was shattered to pieces under a routine inspection, calling the safety claims.

As if the cryobeam is not remarkable enough, stranger still is the cryocopter's "strong homogenous residual-interactive neutron kinetic" (or "S.H.R.I.N.K. beam") beam. This device safely and temporarily compresses molecular bonds in an object, in essence causing a reduction in physical size despite a conservation of mass. The long-term effects of exposure to this device are still unknown, and until they are well-understood, Naval Monte will treat it as a weapon. It was recently discovered that a faulty S.H.R.I.N.K beam can cause the molecular bonds of a recent shrunk victim to become unstable, resulting in the molecular to violently separate from each other and the victim to explode. The cryocopter is also equipped with an ADS, cloak, and weapon jammer technology for added defense.

Artemis Precision Bomber is a supersonic aircraft used to deliver explosive ordnance in precision strikes, performed in a diving run.

The Phoenix VTOL fighter attack jet is a Naval Montean weapon system combining AI programming and human piloting skills. fitted with dual Dermott-Rhyles JT-750 turbofan scramjets that gmbds'z provided an 8-1 thrust ratio (the engines put out eight times the aircraft's weight in thrust) and were later augmented with Ares hypersonic rocket boosters, a Tyre R13-G7 long-range radar and target acquisition-designation system (TADS), and a frameless bubble canopy set low in the nose of a sleek fuselage to minimize drag and maximize speed.

Two hardpoints were bolted to each wing, to which both bombs and missiles could be attached. When armed with bombs, the Phoenix became an even more effective - if less flexible - anti-surface weapon than most gunships; with missiles on the rails, it became the most deadly human aerial vehicle in service. Despite having slightly less armor, the Phoenix was much faster and capable of escaping situations that had so easily turned most gunships into scrap metal.

These triangular aircraft are used in Supersonic Air Attacks, capable of wiping out enemy aircraft by flying in from high altitude, generating a sonic boom shockwave that heavily damages and destroys most aircraft within the vicinity. The attack does no damage to ground units, however.

The Vertigo is a fast stealth bomber. Armed with an experimental plasma gun to defend itself from enemy aircrafts it also carries powerful incendiary bombs, which can create firestorms in large numbers. The bombs deal blast and flame damage, and are highly effective against large groups of light vehicles/infantry and structure.

Vertigos have Medium Aircraft-type armour, which is somewhat resistant to gunfire but is very vulnerable to missiles and rockets, especially to those the the Phoenix. However it makes up for it with it's cloak Modules, further improving it's stealth capabilities.

The Basilisk is a massive aircraft with two heavy lasers, excellent for attacking other heavy units and Crawlers. Its heavy armour will shrug off bullets and rockets, but is itself weak against other laser units. It is also rather slow-moving compared to most aircraft.

The Basilisk's lasers are extremely long ranged, able to fire at targets beyond its sight radius without being in range of return fire. This means it is capable of taking out most units before they can ever get close or run away. When upgraded with the Spectrum Beam upgrade, the lasers will prism upon hitting the target, scattering to hit several other units near to the original target. this makes them the unit of choice when going up against large groups of heavy units. The lasers have a minimum range, however, and the Basilisk cannot fire at targets directly beneath them. Also, like all laser units, the Basilisk must come to a halt before opening fire.

The Basilisk also has a secondary stasis field projector which can freeze all units in a medium size area. The frozen units cannot move or fire but are also rendered invulnerable while the field is in effect (about 10 seconds), making it useful both for stopping pursuit and for protecting an assaulted unit until the Basilisk has destroyed the threat. It can also be used to split up a group of enemy forces, allowing the Basilisk to focus on a smaller group first before destroying the rest. The stasis field has to recharge between uses.

The Medusa is an assault and support gunship armed with an anti-structure Flux Beam and a medium range EMP missile. Its secondary ability is the Solidify Matrix, which repairs all units around the Medusa. It can be upgraded with Amplification Overrides, which increases the damage of the Flux beam and adds a slowing effect, gives the EMP missile a larger radius and longer EMP, and increases the damage repaired by the Solidify Matrix.

FE-12 Salamander is Naval Montean air superiority gunship. oughly rectangular in shape, the Salamander is a combination of strategic bomber and gunship. Capable of flying on the edge of space, it has an extremely sturdy shell, coated in heat-resistant ceramic armor capable of withstanding both high altitude hazards and feedback from its weapon systems, underlaid with a mesh of ultra strong fibers wrapped around a rigid frame, based on reverse engineered extraterrestrial materials (that little bit you wont find in it's instruction manual).

For combat, it bears four Darter missile turrets, mounted on each corner for a full 360 degree anti-air coverage, and can also be used to suppress enemy ground forces. However, it's most feared weapon is the Purifier Incendiary Delivery System, which uses an advanced version of 20th century napalm. The Purifier is composed of tanks with compressed unidentified liquid inside, which is expelled onto the ground when the command is given and ignited with a localized plasma stream, which continues to fire for a few moments. The resulting torrent of flame incinerates any and all units and structures in the affected area, and often has the effect of traumatizing enemy troops that survive.

It is crewed by a Captain in charge of six crewmen with four cybernetic missile turret gunners.
