What do I mean by "Nuanced"?

BORDER: While immigration drives innovation, we cannot simply have all-open arms. Similarly, removing the Other results in an echo chamber at scale. I'm against the Wall, as it helps nothing (see: Teardown of the Berlin Wall and the various methods to bypass it) (see also: the cartel problem STILL EXISTING, which requires tangible military/intelligence coordination and not a Simple Easy Cop-out Solution), but I'm not entirely against isolationism; if we can't figure out our own problems, we have no business worrying about others.

ISOLATION: If we can't solve our own problems, why - outside of Exceptional Circumstances or by request of outsiders - should we solve the problems of others? Self preservation must be priority. Of course, if our neighbor(s) get attacked either by nature or by another nation, we should come to their aid, in order to prevent our own civic polity being placed at threat.

INTERVENTION: Unless there is tangible evidence of a genocide underway (a la Kosovo/Bosnia, Rwanda, Gaza (debated), Sudan re; Darfur, China re; Uyghurs, ISIS re; Yazidis), or if there is a high risk thereof, it's not our business. Humanitarian aid takes precedence, obviously, and should be considered; but by "intervention", I am referring to military intervention. Even then, however, humanitarian aid should only be exported under Special Circumstances, a la Venezuela's earthquake or Japan's earthquake of this year, and not handed out like candy to nations that aren't using it; in re Somalia, as much as I wish they were doing better, I don't believe our help fund is doing anything other than funding the warlords. Again, self preservation should come first.

SEXUALITY: Not my problem; let them marry, let them adopt, do whatever they want. Two consenting adults doing what they want is none of my business. I've got better things to do than worry about "da gays", "da trans", "da sapphs", etc, as such worrying is not only juvenile and immature, but also dishonorable.

RACE POLITICS: Not my problem, honestly; if someone wants to join politics or whatever, let them. Just because one's got darker skin than another doesn't mean they should be treated differently. It doesn't make any sense to me, why do we gatekeep people of different skin? Matter of fact, that's a loss of customers, of workers, of potential servicemen. If the Strange Man will not listen to the common moral argument, then the economic argument should pierce - say you're establishing a business in a majority-Asian area, but the area is extremely xenophobic. Opening your doors to a disenfranchised group not only gives you the opening bonus influx, but also ensures that, all else, your company is the one they will go to. More customers, more workers.

CAPITALISM/COMMUNISM: They're economic systems, not moral systems. The best system would be a system that supports its' workers while also allowing free enterprise, with limits. Obviously, it can't exist, because the human ability to be stupid means that greed, ineptitude, et al will always find a way to infect everything and make it worthless. ...Anyways, the Norse do it right, whatever funky Scandinavian system they've got.

LEFT/RIGHT: ████ right off. Holy ████. These binaries make me want to subscribe to a nightly lobotomy by way of a GAU-8. While I support progress, it should be measured progress; in re testing thoroughly every invention we create and pre-empting restrictions and alike. While I support traditionalism, it should make way if necessary; in re Jim Crow laws. Some things should be kept, like cursive, while others should be tossed aside. Something something Net Positives/Net Negatives, I'll formalize a theory later. Something about how Net Positives like economic boons, rights expansions, regulations on CBRNs, et al should be kept, whereas Net Negatives like drafts, discriminatory practices, tax cuts, et al should be left behind.

NATIONALISM: Not much of an opinion on that. Celebrate your country, I'm not one to bat an eye unless it's one of Those countries. Expressing nationalism in re; Those countries feels VERY suspicious, as they're countries that have a track record of not only being rude to Outsiders, but also being rude to Insiders. ...As well as genocides here and there.
Those = China, Russia, DPRK, Hussein-era Iraq, Nazi Germany, Ceaușescu-era Romania, Hoxha-era Albania, Vuçic-era Serbia, Karadžić-era R.Srpska, etc... states/regimes that are, usually, detested globally

GLOBALISM: As long as the UN is around, no. I'd rather no UN than a dysfunctional UN - a dysfunctional UN, the one we have now, is doing far more harm than anything with its' P5 veto problem, first and foremost. Also, ████ the WEF, they're corrupt and exploitative, see Africa. If we could remove the UN and replace it with a functional global coalition, one where no veto exists and it's One Vote One Nation, AND its' words are backed by tangible military force instead of cowardly papers and words, then I'll be globalist.

MILITARISM: As long as it's not Crusadership or hypermilitarist "durr lets fight everyone" simplemindedness/primitivity. I'd rather duel to relieve anger than, what, go through some form of mediator? Talking solves little when flashpoints exist, so why not have a control valve solution? Just have formal duels on an international stage, first blood wins, swords, like ye olde times. No, I'm not joking; if we could have duels back in place, there's a good chance murders (specifically, Aggravateds) could actually go down. I honestly thought about dueling a few people, but it's not worth the jail time.

DEMOCRATIC PEACE THEORY: Do y'all know how utterly tired I am of this supposed theory? The only reason it works is because the bureaucracy makes everyone equally mad. Sure, knights-and-kings may have been more volatile, but that was because the bloody royalty weren't educated, nor were they surrounded by philosophers! Pathetic excuse just to support a dead-on-arrival poorly-executed political system (see also: FPTP). Sure, there were philos-kings, but they were few and very far in between. There is no true answer to everything; true to my claim, I believe every culture has their own preferred ruling style instead of "Oops All Cookie-Cutter Democracies"; and to assume a universal answer is to claim omniscience, which is Heresy. I'd rather live in a tribe. The Norse do it right, though, with their Scandinavian models.

EXECUTION: If the subject in question poses a continuous threat to the people's existence by way of reputation (ex. a Terror leader) or danger, their life may be marked forfeit. Or, simply, if they took enough lives. E.g. if you get charged with Genocide you should be given the ol' "take the dog out back" treatment, no further questions. Of course, given that the subject in question is found appropriately guilty and it doesn't turn out to be wrong later; for All Gods' sakes, this is why courts should ALWAYS verify ALL information, regardless of if its' plaintiff or defendant.

AI: As a tool, they're probably invaluable. I read localisation files for a living in re; Stellaris modding and it hurts to look at just grey text everywhere. FOR MENIAL TASKS, yes. For anything else, no. Machines should never replace humans, they are our tools and are to respond to every beck and call.

XENO-?: Xenophilia, in the Stellaris terms; "friendly to outsiders/aliens". As long as they don't blindly hate me for reasons un/known, I see no reason to do the same.

CORPORATE PERSONHOOD: No. End of story. Corporations should be slaves to the state. If they step wrong, they should be dissolved and wiped out. Corporations cannot serve jail time, they cannot be held liable as a person; they must either be enslaved to the state, or executed. Corpos serve the people and state first and foremost. Shareholders and stocks should be gone with the wind.

STATE Vs. PEOPLE: States never represent their people entirely, as that is utterly impossible. Like how Trump doesn't represent all of America, no leader can represent all of their state/country. I hate Russia as much as the next guy, but the Russian people? I have no opinion on them.

"CLASS WARS": You do realize those terms were hijacked by the Uppers so that they can divide us even further, right? Divide and conquer. They're playing a sick game, and they're playing it well, as much as I hate admitting it.

"CARBON FOOTPRINT": BP fraud. Don't buy it, it's a fraud to put the blame onto the customer and not the industry, when the industry is doing 100x more pollution than the customers. I mean, obviously customers have quite the impact, but we should focus on the industry immediately because there ain't a single person producing a factory's worth of heavy metals gasses into Louisiana's Cancer Alley.

GUN RIGHTS: Handguns, semi-autos, bolt actions, and shotguns. Only. Everything else should be restricted to the military; full autos and bursts too. Keep the monopoly of force in the State. Why in hell should Random Joe have 250kg Tannerite and a .50BMG? That's a terrorist, not a civvie. I don't want no ISIS in my backyard. Why do people want 250kg Tannerite? Just for bragging rights? That's terrorist behavior. Gods no.

ISRAEL: Sykes-Picot was an abomination in diplomacy, and it should've instead been a unified nation instead of a two-nation split along ethnic/religious lines. Dividing along ethnic lines will, in more circumstances than not, result in forever-wars and near-genocidal conflicts. I bet that peace lasted a long time, surely. /ed; GOOD LORD, THEY'RE ACTUALLY GENOCIDAL.

UKRAINE: Ukraine was assimilated into the USSR without their consent. Their lands, their choice. Crimea was forcibly annexed, the Donetsk/Luhansk separatists are Russian grayops workers and those zones don't actually want independence, and with the power of foresight, I think we all fell for the Russian propaganda. Paper tiger, anyone?

TAIWAN: I don't entirely have an opinion on Taiwan.

SUDAN, et al: ...What the hell am I supposed to do? Go to their war? That's suicide by any other name.

AGE VERIFICATION: It hasn't worked, will never worked, and will always be bypassed. The "easiest" solutions are often the most hole-filled solutions, and this one carries the risks of LIVES on it, since the many breaches meant people get doxxed left and right. Good work, very "for the children" of you, almost every first-world nation ever, actually, except maybe Scandinavia, the Baltics, and the Balkans, making the "children" in question easier to get to. ...This is stupid.

DATACENTERS: Parasitic, polluting, net-negative infrastructure should be destroyed. This is the one thing I am unchangeable on.

PACIFISM: Pacifism means you have the capability of violence, but are actively choosing not to enact it. Harmless means you're either too cowardly, or unable, to enact violence of any kind. If I weren't an honorbound militarist, I'd rather be a pacifist, because I then retain honor by way of actively not engaging with Foolish people and wasting my time.

FASCISM: Classical Fascism? No. I don't identify as fascist, I will never identify as fascist, because that is not what I believe in, end of. To quote Orwell (Politics and the English Language, c. 1946), "The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable’. The words democracy, socialism, freedom, patriotic, realistic, justice, have each of them several different meanings which cannot be reconciled with one another. In the case of a word like democracy, not only is there no agreed definition, but the attempt to make one is resisted from all sides. It is almost universally felt that when we call a country democratic we are praising it: consequently the defenders of every kind of régime claim that it is a democracy, and fear that they might have to stop using that word if it were tied down to any one meaning. Words of this kind are often used in a consciously dishonest way. That is, the person who uses them has his own private definition, but allows his hearer to think he means something quite different.
