Duties & Powers of the Board
  • To confirm successor regions to Member regions.

  • To admit new regions as Members (simple majority).

  • To expel regions from Membership (4/5ths vote, plus majority of voting Consuls).

  • To raise armed forces as the Common Army.

  • To set minimum soldiery contributions for new Members (4/5ths vote).

  • To end offensive military operations (simple majority).

  • To end defensive military operations (4/5ths vote).

  • To make laws governing the Member regions, as it concerns the Compact.

  • To make laws for the TLC region, and any Protectorates under its jurisdiction.

  • To create, regulate, and oversee administrative bodies under the Executive Council.

  • To manage the size of the Tribunal.

  • To dismiss officers under the Executive Council and Justices of the Tribunal (5/6ths vote, on grounds of high crimes or repeated misdemeanors).

  • To define crimes, define penalties for crimes and civil misdoings, and administer punishments for crimes.

  • To create and observe regional holidays.

  • To organize regional cultural events.

  • To resolve disputes between Consuls.

  • To establish procedures for Conciliar business.

  • To allow the creation of non-Consul puppet nations as TLC archives.

  • To overrule the rulings of the Tribunal (6/7ths vote).

  • To rule on behalf of the Tribunal (special circumstances).

  • To amend the fundamental Charter (7/8ths vote, plus majority of the Consuls; OR 5/6ths vote, plus unanimity of the Consuls).
