Pax Imperialis Embassy Policy

Article I - Purpose

1.1) The Embassy Program exists to promote diplomacy, friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual cooperation between Pax Imperialis and other regions.

1.2) All embassies are established at the pleasure of the Emperor and in the interests of the Empire.

Article II - Eligibility
Embassies may be established with regions that:

2.1) Maintain active and responsible governance.

2.2) Respect the sovereignty of other regions.

2.3) Engage in diplomacy in good faith.

2.4) Are not engaged in activities deemed hostile to Pax Imperialis.

2.5) The Empire reserves the right to decline any embassy request without obligation to provide a reason.

Article III - Conduct
Regions maintaining embassies with Pax Imperialis are expected to:

3.1) Treat representatives of the Empire with respect.

3.2) Refrain from hostile actions against Pax Imperialis.

3.3) Notify the Empire of major governmental changes when practical.

3.4) Promote friendly diplomatic relations.

Article IV - Restrictions
Embassies shall not be granted to regions that:

4.1) Advocate harassment or disruption of other regions.

4.2) Pose a security risk to the Region.

4.3) Are determined by the Emperor or Imperial Government to be hostile to Imperial interests.

Article V - Suspension and Closure

5.1) The Emperor, Foreign Affairs Minister, or an authorised Imperial official may recommend the suspension or closure of an embassy.

Embassies may be suspended or closed if:

5.2) Diplomatic relations deteriorate.

5.3) Pose a security risk to the Empire.

5.4) The partner region becomes inactive.

5.5) The embassy no longer serves the interests of the Region.

Article VI - Imperial Authority
Embassies shall not be granted to regions that:

6.1) The establishment, suspension, and closure of embassies ultimately remain subject to Imperial authority.

6.2) The Emperor retains the right to approve, deny, suspend, or terminate any embassy at his discretion.

6.3) Meanwhile most executive and common commands are made by the Foreign Affairs Minister.
