This policy establishes the standards used by the Foreign Commissioner to determine whether an embassy request is accepted or denied. Embassies follow this guideline but meeting these requirements is not an automatic approval. Send a telegram to the Foreign Commissioner to apply. Any requests not pre-approved by the Foreign Commissioner will be rejected.

Requirements

1. Your region must have at least 5 real¹ members.

2. Your region must comply with our current regional policies.

3. Your region must have some activity².

Restrictions

1. Your region is aligned with any ideologies deemed Hostile³ to the S.C.R.

2. Your region has close relations with any region deemed in the S.C.R. as an Enemy of the Region.

Preferences

1. Your region is closely aligned with moderate conservative, capitalist, and republican ideals.

2. Your region has lots of activity².

3. Your region maintains good relations⁴ with multiple of our embassy regions.

Closures

Closure of an embassy is typically due to a violation of the standards above, though other causes for closure are as follows:

1. The embassy in question no longer serves a diplomatic or otherwise useful function of the S.C.R.

2. The embassy unjustly disrespects the S.C.R. in any manner.

An embassy may also be closed by the Foreign Commissioner and/or the Bastion of Conservatism if, in their judgment, such action is necessary to protect the best interests of the S.C.R.

Exemptions

Exemptions can be made by the Foreign Commissioner with approval from the Bastion of Conservatism (or the Bastion of Conservatism themself) if a strong argument is provided for why an exemption should be granted.

Embassies established before July 17th, 2025 are automatically exempt from the requirements listed above.

Polish West Slavia	Sphere of Nationalist Republics	See above.	December 6th, 2025
Polish West Slavia	New Alotania	Exempt due to raid shenanigans	January 14th, 2026

Definitions

1. Real members: nations that can prove they are not puppet nations in a reasonable manner. World Assembly membership is one method of proof for being real.

2. Activity: defined by the number of posts made in a region's RMB at any point. The S.C.R. defines the following:
Lots of activity: More than 5 posts in the last 24 hours.
Some activity: 5 or more posts in the last 7 days.
No activity: Less than 5 posts in the last 7 days.

3. Hostile Ideologies: Ideologies that contradict the values of the S.C.R. or wish for our demise. A full list can be found here.

4. Good Relations: Flexible in definition, but this generally means you respect a region (or multiple regions), and cooperate with them in good manner.
