Under the decree of The Grand Vizier Emeritus, the paychecks for the recruiters working in labor camps have been raised. When he was questioned as to why, he said that “It felt good to.” When he was asked a follow up question about giving recruiters more rights, his response was “Human rights don’t apply to nonhumans.”

An End To The Great Freeze

A few months ago, the nations of Talonia had to survive in a miniature ice age. There is no clear reason why this period of intense frost began, however its long term effects on Talonia as a whole will likely be minimal. Most Talonian nations took appropriate steps to counter the effects of the blizzards which saved them from dealing with the absolute worst of the calamity.

It’s not all sunshine and lollipops though. Pretty much every national agricultural industry has been set back by a few seasons, and some nations have to put up with floods caused by the thawing snow. However in the long term, this event will likely be overshadowed in history textbooks to the much more impactful, Second World War.

The Future of F.O.C.U.S.

In a move that surprised even the most experienced TSB agents, Pochang and his gang of rebels attacked a Talonian military base. While they were fended off with ease, Pochang coming out of hiding makes him a threat to Talonian security. Report any suspicious activity to your local commissar.

If you asked the average Talonia what F.O.C.U.S was, you’d received a perplexed expression. If you do not believe this, then you should take it from the horse's mouth. We asked a resident what they thought F.O.C.U.S. and their response was, “uhhh, Fortified Orientation Cuz Useful Servant?” It is a shame most residents don’t even know about the most important regional alliance we are in, but this fact exposes the harsh reality of what F.O.C.U.S. has become. An irrelevant organization that does not even play a background role in gameplay.

Firstly, the question of what F.O.C.U.S. Even it must be addressed before we can understand why it is so irrelevant now. F.O.C.U.S., otherwise known as The Frontier Organization for Cooperation, Unity and Security, is a defensive alliance between what were formally the largest frontiers. Put an emphasis on formally frontiers because two of the regions apart of the alliance have become strongholds to ensure their own stability. The point of F.O.C.U.S. was to ensure regional stability for all of its regions while those same regions could reap the rewards of having nations spawn within their borders. If members feel that they need to sacrifice their ability to spawn nations to maintain their own security, then F.O.C.U.S. has failed at the only reason why it was established.

While F.O.C.U.S. may now only exist as a remnant from an era of opportunism about Frontierism, the alliance is not doomed to obscurity. Two of its regions, Talonia and Carcassonne are still actively involved in gameplay. The burden of maintaining F.O.C.U.S. and Frontierism’s presence now falls upon them, and they are willing to carry it.
