Greetings South Pacificans!
I write to you today to announce that, after all votes have been counted, Ebonhand has been re-elected Delegate of the South Pacific.
I thank you all for your participation in this election and for showing the world once again the strength and endurance of South Pacifican democracy. By reading the campaign, asking questions, or even just taking a few seconds to cast a vote, you played a key role in ensuring that our region has a government elected by you and representative of your interests.
Please keep an eye for further telegrams from our security officials on what steps, if any, need to be taken moving forwards.
Regards,
Kringalia

Voting
This election is held via majority vote, where voters may select the candidate of their choice via a poll set up by the Election Commissioner. Voting is automatically restricted via the poll to allow only votes from Native World Assembly Residents, so anyone who is not able to cast a vote is, by definition, ineligible to vote.
[Special Forces Only] Members who will be deployed by the end of the voting period may cast an absentee ballot by posting their vote on the Regional Message Board and tagging the Commissioner within that post. It is the responsibility of the Prime Minister to inform the Commissioner of the members who will be deployed; absentee votes by others will not be counted.
It is my intention as Election Commissioner to be as impartial as possible in the administration of elections, which is why I always cast private ballots or, when that is not possible, I refrain from voting. Given that per the Citizenship Act a failure to vote in this election may risk my status as a citizen, I have opted to vote for the option to Re-Open Nominations in order to avoid favouring any one candidate.
Kringalia
Election Commissioner
Voting will remain open from .29 Jan 2024 17:00 (UTC). until .04 Aug 2024 17:00 (UTC).. Click the following link to see a .Countdown..
