Before 1985, the term Ten Hawks was used before 2 such conglomerates were violently dissolved by the Kanzlian Navy.

ABNK was a merger company from several smaller financial institutions based in Kotr. Each letter in ABNK stood for a district in Kotr where the now merged smaller financial institutions was based in. ABNK would become deeply intertwined with Kanzlia's shipping industry which helped propel ABNK into the wealthiest bank in Kanzlia. ABNK survived the Kanzlian collapse unscathed and was able to acquire other banks for a cheap during the famine. Today it is only rivaled by Centraalbank.

Ardent was founded by eccentric but brilliant engineer Anya Petrova. Anya had been a self-made engineer tinkering with her father's workshop during her early years. She formed Ardent Engineering after her radio design was stolen and patented by another company. During the court proceedings, she met with Mathias Stern who advised Anya to form the company and he became her first investor (and later her husband). Mathias would handle much of the company's operations whilst Anya would take charge of the actual engineering part. In 1904 Ardent would rise to prominence after Anya developed Kanzlia's first radio wave-based wireless telegraph system. Ardent would practically hold a monopoly on radio technology till today. Ardent would also complete government and military contracts, building much of the electronics for the Kanzlian Navy.
