Appointment of Successor to the Delegacy

Westerners,

To be entrusted with the Delegacy of the West Pacific is an honor like no other. I spawned in TWP just as what one would consider its “modern era” was beginning, as Elegarth handed off the reins to Big Bad Badger. Since Overthinkers’ founding, there have been 70 feeder delegate changes. The delegacy of the West Pacific has changed hands nine times. And after 434 days of OT, it is high time for a tenth.

It is my joy and privilege to name my choice for the next Delegate of the West, Fujai.

Fujai has been a fixture in the West for many years, with outstanding contributions in the areas of cultural affairs and roleplay in particular. His official role in my cabinet has been to ensure our messaging is strong, consistent, and looks dang good. Unofficially, he has always pushed me to challenge my own way of thinking, and to remain true to our identity without obstructing forward movement. The last few delegates can attest to his being the voice of reason when we get up on our gameplayer BS.

Having discussed his plans in the weeks leading up to this announcement, I could not be more confident in my decision. I bequeath this position with full faith that the West shall thrive—in ways old and new—under his leadership.

I urge all World Assembly nations of the West Pacific to endorse Fujai as soon as possible. The transition shall take place in early June.

Of course, I will remain involved in the West, as a Guardian and in other roles, to ensure the new administration is well equipped to carry out its vision.
