Griffindor's 18th Fortnightly Update

[b]Greetings, my fellow South Pacificans![/b]

It has been [i]16 days[/i] since my last Fortnightly Briefing! Apologies for the delay in sending this briefing out; I have had several important Out of Character (OOC) life events take place the last few days, among them my graduation from grad school on Friday and Saturday and my birthday today! Moving back to in-character, our region was kinda sleepy the last couple of weeks! Now, without further ado, it is time for another fortnightly briefing!

[b]First:[/b] The Assembly has been active in debate and votes!

[spoiler= The Rundown]

First: The Assembly confirmed [b]Prime Minister [nation]PenguinPies[/nation]'s[/b] cabinet appointments! They immediately took office and are already hard at work implementing their agendas.

Second: The Assembly restarted discussion on amending the Criminal Code to clarify and insert provisions relating to being an accomplice to a crime. The amendment has since passed the Assembly!

Third: Legislation was introduced to the Assembly, which intends to reform and update the World Assembly Act. The changes to the law intend to restructure the term of office, the voting procedure for OWL Votes, and overall provide the Prime Minister/OWL Director more authority to direct the Delegate to vote on World Assembly resolutions. I have personally come out against many of the provisions of the law, as it removes many of the discretionary powers that Delegates traditionally have in the World Assembly. The debate continues, and hopefully, a better bill will emerge!
