[REPEALED] The People's Decree on Fundamental Rights and Freedoms

The The Peoples Republic of Sodorstan, recognizing the inherent dignity and equal rights of all persons, committed to building a society free from exploitation and oppression, hereby decrees the following fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed to all citizens:

I. Social and Economic Rights

Right to Life and Security: The state guarantees the right to life, liberty, and security of person.

Right to Work and Just Wages: Every citizen has the right to work, to freely choose their profession, and to receive fair and just wages that ensure a decent standard of living for themselves and their families.

Right to Education: Education is free and compulsory for all citizens. The state shall provide opportunities for continuous education and professional development.

Right to Healthcare: Every citizen has the right to access quality healthcare services free at the point of delivery.

Social Security: The state shall establish a comprehensive social security system providing for unemployment benefits, pensions, and support for the elderly, disabled, and those in need.

Right to Housing: The state shall strive to ensure adequate and affordable housing for all citizens.

Right to a Healthy Environment: Every citizen has the right to live in a clean and healthy environment. The state shall take measures to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.

II. Political and Civil Rights

Right to Equality: All citizens are equal before the law, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other status.

Right to Freedom of Expression: Every citizen has the right to freedom of speech, assembly, and peaceful protest.

Right to Information: Citizens have the right to access information held by the state, subject to reasonable limitations for national security or public order.

Right to Freedom of Religion and Belief: Every citizen has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. Limits: With the adoption of the policy of State Atheism, the State of Sodorstan is duty bound to promote a scientific and materialist outlook among its citizens, against their reigious belief.

Right to Political Participation: Citizens have the right to participate in public affairs, directly or through freely chosen representatives. This includes the right to vote in free and fair elections.

Right to Due Process: No one shall be deprived of their liberty or property except in accordance with the law. Everyone is entitled to a fair and public hearing by a competent, independent, and impartial tribunal.

III. General Provisions

Enforcement and Review: The state shall establish effective mechanisms to enforce these rights and freedoms and to provide remedies for their violation. Independent courts shall ensure the impartial application of the law.

International Human Rights: This decree upholds the principles enshrined in international human rights instruments.

Continuous Improvement: This decree serves as a foundation for building a more just and equitable society. The state shall continually strive to improve the enjoyment of these rights and freedoms by all citizens.

Let all citizens of the The Peoples Republic of Sodorstan know and enjoy these fundamental rights and freedoms!
