HelloHere are some frequently asked questions.
What is this place?
This is Empires Forever United, a cool region that you can be a part of if you want. We don't discriminate and we try to be very accepting. We hope you like it here.
What do I do?
Well, you should first join the World Assembly and endorse the delegate, Ter Landia. This helps us stay safe.
Next, say hello on the Regional Message Board. We often have something going on there, so you can join those shenanigans if you want. RMB roleplays are almost always open to anyone.
So this is a roleplay region?
Yes, it is. Feel free to play as characters from your nation. Before joining a roleplay, either in the RMB or the forums, we recommend that you flesh out your nation first. Try answering these questions:
What is your nation's culture like?
Who are some important figures? What are their stories?
What's the history of your nation?
What are your nation's stances on political issues? (abortion, free healthcare, etc)
You should also know that there is no godmodding or gatecrashing. When talking out of character, use parentheses (like this).
Examples of good vs bad:
Bad:
*Timmy the annihilator comes in and kills everyone uninvited* I hate communists lol
Good:
(OOC: Hey guys, can I join? this seems fun)
(yeah sure, this was getting boring)
*Timmy kicks open the door* "Tell me you've done something about the communist pigs that plague this nation. I haven't shot a commie since '84."
*Intern Jerry, who is secretly a communist, glances around the room uneasily* "Uh.. I wanna talk about cheese."
[and then it continues because some loser didn't ruin the fun]
One more thing. With potentially sensitive scenarios (from racism to gore) you need to ask out-of-character if everyone's comfortable. You can't just bring out this racist pyromaniac and go "I hate Tropisians, go home!" Instead, ask out-of-character, (guys, this next character is like super racist. is everyone ok with that?) And then everyone either says sure or nah.
Can I be racist outside of roleplay?
No.
Do you guys do war?
Well I haven't developed a system for simulating wars, but you can absolutely have them. Maybe your nation is in the middle of a great revolution and other nations support different sides. It's a fun roleplay situation.
And no, roleplay wars do not have in-game consequences. Just be courteous to others.
What's your embassy policy?
Oh, that old thing. We'd love to have an embassy with you, but your leader will have to telegram Ter Landia, or preferably our current embassy officer, with an embassy request. We'll do a quick review, and as long as you aren't evil or something, we'll probably accept. Just remember that you have to telegram our delegate or embassy officer.
