BRIEFING
In order to maintain its status as a military superpower, TGEC has begun experimenting with unproven military technologies. We are currently developing a wide array of advanced equipment which will be implemented in every branch of the Armed Forces. This directory will provide an overview of all the classified armament which are currently under development. Their research is supervised by the Directorate for Military Research and Development.
UNDER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE TERRESTRIAL FORCES
PROJECT BLUEJAY
Research started: 8th of December 2021
Lead scientist: Dr. Philip Anderson
Type: EMP Grenade
Allocated budget: 100,000,000 NSD for R&D, may change if more is requested
Status: Currently being researched
Details: EMP grenade made to disable all electronic devices in a small area. It emits a short burst of electromagnetic energy powered by an internal source which affects all devices in
UNDER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE GRAND NAVY
Research started: 21st of May 2015
Lead scientist: Dr. Oliver Pierce
Type: Next-Gen Stealth Guided Missile Destroyer
Allocated budget: 30,000,000,000 NSD for R&D, 10,000,000,000 NSD for initial production
Status: Under development, one prototype stationed at Black-Site ALEPH
Details: A next-generation stealth ship. Its hull is lined with metamaterials and nanomaterials which can absorb radar waves, making it virtually invisible. It has a length of 150 meters. It is fitted with an AN/SPY-6 radar. It carries four Block IV TLAM Tomahawks in its VLS cells and four SM-6 missiles also in VLS emplacements. It has no aircraft facilities in order to not compromise stealth. Development is expected to be finalized by 2035 and for it to enter in service by 2039. The current prototype has failed all testing and is set to be scrapped in 2024. Its main purpose will be to launch surprise missile strikes deep into enemy territory, not giving the enemy time to react.
UNDER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE AIR FORCE
Research started: 15th of November 2018
Lead scientist: Dr. Margaret Cash
Type: Directed-energy weapon mounted on an aircraft
Allocated budget: 400,000,000 NSD for R&D
Status: Currently being researched at "Francis I" Military Base
Details: Directed energy weapon compatible with all variants of the F16 and F35. It is, more specifically, a particle beam. It is stowed in a compartiment inside the belly of the aircraft which opens when it needs to be used. This is done in order to not compromise stealth. The directed-energy will be unguided and used for striking ground and naval targets alongside larger air targets. It will have a power source of 80 kilowatts in order to ensure maximum damage. The power source will be stowed inside the aircraft and can recharge at the nearest airbase.
UNDER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SPACE FORCE
Research started: 1st of May 2009
Lead scientist: Dr. Michael Sylvester
Type: Space-Based Directed Energy Weapon
Allocated budget: 90,000,000 NSD for R&D, 800,000,000 NSD for initial production
Status: AVAILABLE FOR OFFICIALS WITH LAMBDA-OMEGA-BLACK AUTHORITY
Details: Space to Space particle beam weapon. It uses a linac to accelerate Mercury nuclei to relativistic speeds and shoots them out in a continuous beam. It requires a large amount of energy, that is why the current systems have a small nuclear fission power plant aboard, besides the conventional solar panels. The Mercury nuclei can instantly overheat the surface of the target and can penetrate deeper to destroy electronics.
Research started: 16th of June 1999
Lead scientist: REDACTED FOR OFFICIALS WITH ZETA-ETA-BLACK AUTHORITY
Type: Solar Weaponry/Heliobeam
Allocated budget: 90,000,000,000 NSD Total Funding
Status: 20 Panels in Low through High Orbit with 280 more to be deployed
Details: 300 planned panels which contain concave mirrors, each 15 meters in diameter. They will be spread across LEO and HEO. Once a target haa been selected, they will angle using RCS thrusters to aim at the target coordonates and concentrate solar irradiance on the target, heating up the area to high, perhaps even lethal temperatures.
