Magnus Andrew Montrenee was born on the 26th of November, 1993 in Brest. His parents were middle class, his father being an accountant for an insurance company and his mother being a dermatologist. From a young age he exhibited an interest in politics, reading the politics section of L'esperance from the age of 9 and debating topics like the status of Kosovo and of Palestine. He started primary school at "Admirality" school, a private educational institute which was renowned for focusing on developing critical thinking. Most testimonies say that he was a shy person, not making a lot of friends but getting into plenty of debates, even with the teachers.

He continued secondary education at the same school, showing affinity in politics and engineering classes. He started making more friends through the local debate club, which he signed up to. His favourite activity throughout secondary school was debating. He argued for a multitude of things, and even wrote a pamphlet at age 13 titled "Another way: the compromise between left and right" advocating for 3rd way politics. This was one of the biggest achievements of his life, as his writings were even read by government officials. His intelligence was recognized by MESA, and he was accepted as a member of the organization. At just 14 years old he participated in "The New York Global Debate Championship", competing against 18 year old students. The debate topic was "This house believes that private industry has improved the world", a vague topic by debate standards, but he still came up with Astounding arguments. He spoke a total of two hours. He won. This was most likely the moment which jumpstarted his political career, as by this point he was basically a national celebrity. He returned to TGEC in order to start high school.

He enrolled in "Saint Andrew" High School in Brest, the most prestigious in TGEC. Every teacher knew that he was overprepared and too advanced for the school, so instead of going to classes he was given permission to attend public lectures at the University of Brest in order to challenge his mind more. The next highlight of his life came when he published his book "Vie", meaning life in French. There he wrote about how our political life is intertwined with our personal lives, advocating for a smaller government in TGEC. He even presented his case in front of the House of Representatives. Surprisingly, it worked. He convinced the government at the time to reduce its size, enhancing its efficiency. This prompted him to be allowed to enter Grandeville University - "Dennis Penrose" Faculty of Law at just 17 years of age.

His time at the University was good for him. He felt like he could finally put his brain to a use and socialize with other students of his same level of intelligence. During his time at the university he continued writing essays advocating for Bill Clinton's third way. Those essays would eventually be published in a collection uner the name of "Advocate: Standing up for the third way". His performance in law school was admirable, being a consecutive mock trial champion and winning the respect of everyone around him. He graduated at 21 years of age, in 2014 with complete honours. After graduating he immediatelly signed up to run for Mayor of Brest, his home city. His campaign was widely supported, as virtually everyone in the nation knew about his genius. Thus, he won in a landslide victory.

Rise in Politics

Now that he was the Mayor of Brest his dreams had come true. He had become the leader of the third most important city in TGEC. It was his duty to lead it to prosperity. As soon as he became mayor he starting pouring in funds to expanding the Port of Brest. The port was the center of culture for the French city, sailing being a very popular past time. He attracted opportunistic foreign investors through a series of social programs which guaranteed profit for private companies contracted. From the start of his term people knew that he would lead the city to greatness, the "L'esperance" newspaper describing him as the Saviour of Brest, due to the city having undergone a lot regression in terms of economy and population in the terms of the previous mayors.

The streets of Brest received a complete overhaul, the old cement being replaced with better tarmac, almost immune to the formation of potholes. Throught his tenure Brest underwent significant development, making connections with other cities around the world and becoming a highly diverse city. In the last year of his term the most significant achievement was reducing homelessness to only 2% of the city's population by attracting real estate developers and encouraging people to acquire higher value propriety while selling their previous homes to the government, which would turn them over to homeless people. That was the final act as mayor of Magnus Montrenee. His tenure finished in 2014, just in time for him to run for Grand Consortian in the 2019 elections. He ran for the NLP this time, instead of the GOM, and won a close victory, with 55% of the votes while his main opposing candidate, Marcus Starr of the GOM, had 52% of the votes.

He assumed his position on the 1st of January 2019, swearing on the constitution in front of the Tower of Commerce. During his tenure as Grand Consortian, Montreneé has focused on advancing TGEC’s economic growth through significant tax reforms, reduction of bureaucratic red tape, and promoting private sector innovation. Under his leadership, TGEC became way more integrated in the international community, joining the Collective Security League, the now defunct Alliance for Security and Prosperity, Illion Leagur and forming the AntiSocialist Coalition to create a common front against socialist nations.

At the same time, under his tenure TGEC got rid of all trade barriers like tarrifs and quotas with friendly nation, opening up trade with nations like the East Asian Alliance. At the same time, his tenure has been characterized by a militaristic and interventionist foreign policy, with TGEC intervening in many external wars and rebuilding its nuclear arsenal, 30 years after it was dismantled.

On a more positive note, he focused on constructing numerous nuclear power plants. Now, 80% of the nation's energy comes from nuclear and TGEC is energy independent. He is also a symbol of unity, being the person to peacefully negotiate the end of the Consortian Civil War in 2023, finally annexing British Separatists and Catholic Extermists through negotiations.
