January Election Campaign
And we are back again!! The Baloominati and the Heisenberg Restorationist Party have come together to run for the PM & LPM elections with a massive duo, one of the members of the Baloominati who has made an outstanding job as Minister of Foreign Affairs: Allertania, which is the PM candidate for the coalition, while a member and founder of the Heisenberg Restorationist Party, starter of the restoration of Callista, and current PM of Callista: The H Corporation (a.k.a The Great Hiatus) will be the running partner of Allertania in the first ever election cycle of 2024. Let’s continue the restoration of Callista!!!
↣ Increasing the population:
The use of an API has been successful in bringing more people into Callista, however, due to unfortunate events the person in charge of recruiting was no longer available. Saying the API was unsuccessful is unfair, but in order to prevent a similar event from occurring again we will have another resident of Callista to be in charge of recruiting temporarily as a back-up, the idea is to have a select team of recruiters ready in case the worst thing happens. To be more clear only one person will do the recruiting and when that person becomes unavailable due to OOC/IRL reasons one member of the recruiting team will take its place, if that person can’t then another member will replace them and so on and so forth. For their services they will be granted a title (More info on that later), and a personalized banner made by The H Corporation.
↣ System of Ambassadors:
To take Callista to the next level, it is important that the population increases, moreover once Callista has enough people to a new system of ambassadors shall be put into place. The system works as follows, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will propose a citizen/resident of Callista to be the ambassador of 3 regions max, if the cabinet approves of the candidates for ambassadors, this will help Callista establish relations with bigger regions and makes sure that the ambassadors are qualified by having all members of the cabinet evaluating the proposed ambassador, ensuring that the regions with ambassadors receive the best qualified nations of our region. Understanding that thanks to the API Callista has been able to reach 100 nations in one month we don’t doubt this could be implemented pretty soon once we reach 110 nations, which we are confident we will reach.
↣ WA Participation & Callistan Defense:
The number of nations that have joined the World Assembly is little, encouraging WA membership is one of the most important things to do in order to defend the region from raiders and help the influence of Callista to rise, one thing to encourage WA participation is by sending region-wide telegrams weekly of the importance of joining the World Assembly and including it in the recruitment telegram, so new nations that come in and the already residents of Callista consider joining the World Assembly. Months ago, raiders were threatening to raid Callista if they continue to approve of a proposal of the Security Council, and this is unacceptable behavior that Callista should not tolerate. This army will only be used to defend Callista and historical regions such as The Tavern from evil raiders who want to ruin our fun, led by a small group of nations and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The objective is to have 30 to 35 nations that are members of the World Assembly so Callista and its domains remain protected.
↣ Regional Forum & Discord:
Creating a forum for all ambassadors and people from our region to write in as an alternative to Discord, the creating of one will be more demanding, however we believe we have enough people to make it possible, this will take Callista to even greater heights in the future. Callista also has a Discord Server, however it has been very barren with few activity, mostly because it hasn’t been promoted enough, and because there is not enough things to do. Big regions have a lot of specific channels, activities to do and even very themes that are very appealing for a lot of people to engage in, one of the things that needs to be done is to work on reworking the server in order to make it more appealing and more entertaining. Using both the server and the forum we can make it easy for many people to know that an event is going on and participate in interregional events, and will boost the activity in both the forums and the discord server.
↣ Increasing RMB activity:
Activity is one of the things that are important to a region to be more attractive to new people, one way of doing so is to post on the RMB questions once a week, keep encouraging the discussion of new laws/amendments/bills, and the return of interregional events which will be held once every 2 months and instead of being regional we will invite people from other regions to participate in them these will give Callista more diversity of activities, which in consequence will make it more attractive. One of these events are the return of the Flag Contest and the Short story contest, with the prizes being banners for your nations and other prizes and other surprises we would like to work on, it is important to take note that The H Corporation aka The Great Hiatus have experience in doing these types of events, so we are confident that it will work perfectly.
↣ Better Moderation:
Understanding that Callista is growing and with the policies that we want to implement we expect the region to grow more in activity. Having said that one of the things we are characterized at is by having one of the candidates to be good at moderation, keeping the peace and calm of the region in the amidst of toxicity in debates. What we propose is better moderation by improving the RMB Rules and the possibility of having the MoDA and the HJ appoint regional moderators which won’t have powers to ban people but only to hang out warnings, the team of regional moderators will be composed of 2 to 5 members which will be in charge of handing out warnings whenever a nation does not comply with the rules, they won’t have powers to ban people and the warnings still can be appealed. This will ensure Callista has moderators keeping the peace of Callista but also encourages people to learn the rules and practice their moderation skills as well as participating in the government.
↣ Better Legislation:
The current administration has made bills constitutional, which has created a massive increase in the creation of legislation in Callista. The bill amendment also allows citizens to create legislation and propose it to the cabinet. This is why if elected, we will officially create a formal process for citizens to create and propose legislation to the Cabinet. The MODA will be charged with receiving proposed bills, who will then propose the piece of legislation to the cabinet where it will be deliberated and then put up to discussion like normal. This will make it easier for all Callistans to get involved in the democratic process, and truly make our region one of the most democratic in NS.
↣ Multilateralsim:
Callistan politics has become ruthless, toxic, and divided with people voting not based off of policy but identity. We need to go back to the basics and ensure that every single side, every opinion, every policy is considered before legislation is passed and decisions are made. That is why in government, just like in the past 3 months, the coalition will commit to consulting every opinion in the region to prevent a tyranny of the majority from occurring, and to keep politics engaging and constructive. We will achieve this by creating a law that requires the opposition (whoever has been designated as the leader of the largest opposition group in Callista) and any third parties (any group that is represented in Cabinet or with a substantial number of members) in a 24-48 hour period before it is voted upon. Critics may say this will make the bill process too long, but there is no such thing as waiting too long for a more democratic decision. We did this during the Bill Amendment and the Tsar Political Neutrality Amendment, along with countless other government decisions and we will continue to do so in the future.
The Baloominati and the Heisenberg Restorationist Party is the only bi-partisan coalition bid in this election cycle, it has been proved that by working together we can achieve greater things. This is what characterizes us over the rest, our willingness to talk to the people of Callista from all political backgrounds. We have people experienced in the most important roles of Callista, two positions that will make Callista expand its influence and create relationships with other big regions.
