The Karenthian Education system

Primary School 9am-5pm:Primary school begins when a child reaches the age of 4 years old. For the first 2 years, 1st year and 2nd year, they learn the basics of reading, writing, but some go to speech therapy aswell if they haven't learned how to speak by this stage. In the second year, they learn basic math, such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and begin Physical Education. In the next 2 years, 3rd year and 4th year, up until they become eight, they start learning history, geography, and science, they mastern the Karenthian language, as well as more complicated maths, and they have their very first exams on these things at 8 years old. In the next 2 years, 5th year and 6th year, they begin to learn coding and computer sciences, and begin things such as algebra, calculus, geometry, and trigonometry, as well as fully learning off the Karenthian language and history. They have exams every 6 months. Children have a 15 minute break in primary school from 11:30-11:45 and from 2:30-2:45. Children finish primary school at 10 years old. There are no school breaks, and the school week lasts from Monday until Saturday. Tests are graded in percentage form.

Secondary School 6am-6pm: Students enter 1st regent, and start to learn technology, engineering, and how to pay their taxes. In some more posh schools, they learn how to avoid taxes. Physical Education becomes an optional subject. In 2nd regent, science is split into physics, biology and chemistry. Having already mastered Karenthian, the language is stripped from the curriculum, along with history. Sex ed becomes mandatory, but is only taught for a few weeks in biology. In 3rd regent, subjects such as carpentry, political sciences, debating, psychology, architecture, and archaeology open up as optional subjects. 4th regent is the same as the 3rd, and 5th and 6th regent start their leaving exams, to prepare them for College. By the time they leave secondasry school, they are 16 years old. Breaks are restricted to a 30 minute break from 11:45am to 12:15pm.

College 5am-10pm: College begins in Year 1, at the age of 16. All subjects become optional, and students can pick any 6 of these subjects: Geology, Geometry, Astrophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantum Physics, Biology, Writing, World History, Languages, Communications & Psychology, Poetry, Sports, Education, Medicine, Law, Technology, Engineering, Carpentery, Business, Coding, Investment, Politics, Psychology, and Physiotherapy. They also can pick which days they have these classes. Classes go on from Monday to Saturday all the way through College, and there are breaks from 8am-8:45am, 12pm-1pm, and from 6pm-7pm. There are 2 week breaks in December and June. College finishes in Year 6, when they are 22 years old, and are finally ready to join society.

Info: The education system is optional. Parents can opt for their children to be homeschooled or not schooled at all, however children get to choose if they want to go to school or not from age 10 onwards.
