Council of Non-Aligned Nations (CONAN)
The Council of Non-Aligned Nations (CONAN) is a forum of nations that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. The CONAN is no military alliance!
The purpose of the Council is to ensure the national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of non-aligned countries in their struggle against imperialism, colonialism, neo-colonialism, racism, and all forms of foreign aggression, occupation, domination, interference or hegemony as well as against great power and bloc politics. CONAN is free from any ideological worldview.
The presidency of the Council rotates monthly. The meeting location is the respective country of the chair. The Council unanimously adopts joint declarations, resolutions and condemnations.
Membership is subject to the following conditions:
• The nation is no member of any military alliance.
• The nation declines to expand any further (except into unclaimed territory).
• The nation will attempt to resolve any disagreement diplomatically.
