The Karenthian Mafia are infamous across Holy Karenland for being some of the best worst people in Holy Karenland. Due to Karenthian nationalism, Holy Karenland has a very tight-knit community, and thanks to this, the Mafia has thrived with the help of the Karenthian police force, who work together in exchange for some amenities and leeway by the government. The Mafia help keep the streets clean, and Holy Karenland is largely narcotics-free thanks to them, as anyone who sells them "mysteriously vanishes" say the police. This also means the Mafia have control of a few seats in the Council, and the Mafia have a say in how the police is run, which helps them collaborate. Karenthian unorganized crime is largely hindered too thanks to the mafia, as they don't want their kids running around a city with a bunch of murderers, and so they make them "vanish". This has also helped Holy Karenland in their nationalism, as the mafia are quite traditionalist, however they are a bit prejudiced against Kyrekian citizens, and are known to make any person who gets on their bad side "be removed from all records". It is not uncommon for the crown to pay the mafia ridiculous sums of money to kill protestors and people plotting to overthrow the government.
