History & Achievements

1913-1956: The Alsterian Aviators Club

Founded in 1913 as the Alsterian Aviators Club, the organization began as a private entity dedicated to advancing aerospace innovation during a pivotal era of early aviation. In its formative years, the club served as a breeding ground for aviators, engineers, and visionaries, collaborating to redefine the possibilities of flight. Throughout this period, the Alsterian Aviators Club pioneered several groundbreaking missions, including the first successful transpacific flight in 1921 and the development of revolutionary aircraft propulsion systems. Besides all of the previously mentioned momentous achievements, it also developed the first jet engine in 1929 and invented self-pressurizing cabins in 1935.

1956: Transition to the International Aerospace Company

In 1956, recognizing the transformative potential of space exploration, the Alsterian Aviators Club underwent a significant reorganization, culminating in its rebirth as the International Aerospace Company (IAC). This pivotal moment marked a shift from aviation-centric endeavors to a comprehensive commitment to space exploration, setting the stage for a new era of extraterrestrial achievements. In this form it would reach the achievements it is currently known for. The first VAB constructed was located near Grandeville, but it got destroyed in a fire in 1970. This transition formalized the status of the IAC as a space agency.

1960: First communications relay deployed
The first major undertaking of the IAC was in 1960, when they were contracted to deploy a total of 30 satellites to ensure faster civilian communications across the globe. The mission was carried out with 5 Altair-I heavy lifters deployed over a period of 9 months, but it ended in a massive success, bringing people around the globe closer together.

1972: Humanity Touches the Moon

One of IAC's most iconic moments occurred in 1972 when the company successfully landed the first humans on the Moon, marking an unprecedented milestone in the history of space exploration. This monumental achievement not only elevated IAC's global standing but also contributed to the collective human understanding of the cosmos. It was engaged in a direct race with the American NASA and the Soviet Roscosmos, a race which they won. The Eclipse-D rocket carried 5 people to the surface of the Moon, along with a rover and many vials to take geological samples. A significant moment of the mission was when the flag of the Earth was planted, not the Consortian flag, signifying an unprecedented unity between nations.

1973: Rover Pioneers Mars

IAC's foray into planetary exploration reached new heights in 1973 with the successful deployment of the first rover on Mars. This robotic explorer, equipped with cutting-edge technology, transmitted valuable data about the Martian landscape, laying the foundation for future missions to the red planet. It was carried aboard the Brittany-V Heavy Lifter and was only 1 meter long and 30 cm high, but it carried all the equipment necessary for a one year-mission. It sent back the first detailed photographs of the Martian surface and analyzed the surface geology of the planet.

Countless Satellites and Lunar Colony (2010s):

Throughout the 2010s, IAC played a crucial role in advancing satellite technology, deploying a myriad of satellites for telecommunications, Earth observation, and scientific research. In 2019, the company achieved another historic milestone by establishing the first Lunar colony, demonstrating its commitment to lunar exploration and human settlement beyond Earth. The colony was set up automatically and prepared itself for the first human colonists in 2020. It was a milestone in human exploration of outer space, and could pave the way for future missions out into the void.

2023: The First Human on Mars

Building upon decades of innovation and exploration, IAC made history once again in 2023 by successfully landing the first human on Mars. This monumental achievement marked the pinnacle of IAC's dedication to pushing the boundaries of human space travel, opening a new chapter in the quest for interplanetary exploration. The Barnard-XII rocket took the astronauts to the red planet, where two of them landed and one stayed in the mother-module, orbiting and watching over the two.

Future Endeavors:

As the International Aerospace Company continues to shape the future of space exploration, its ambitious agenda includes plans for asteroid mining, the development of sustainable space habitats, and further exploration of the outer planets. With a legacy rooted in innovation and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, IAC remains at the forefront of humanity's journey into the cosmos. Exploration of the unknown remains the primary mission, with countless technologies being researched. The latest breakthrough came last month, when scientists managed to stabilzie a 1 nm warp bubble. Whatever the future may hold, IAC will be a part of it.
