Why You Should Endorse the Empress and Senate
Firstly, it makes Carcassonne safer. Whichever nation has the most endorsements in the region becomes the World Assembly delegate. The delegate has executive powers, so the region can be forcibly taken by a hostile force moving in and electing a new delegate. Having more endorsements on the delegate (the Empress) makes this less likely, and having many endorsements on trusted individuals (the Senate) provides a second line of defense in the worst case scenario.
Secondly, endorsing the Empress lets you apply for citizenship. This is an important first step to getting more involved in the region and will let you participate in the regional government.
