Dear Friends,

We've made it. Since the unfortunate Ceasing to Exist of Errinundera, our Founder, in early March of 2021, our regional home has been in a sub-optimal state of security. For the past two years, we have had to rely on the endorsements of the World Assembly Delegate to maintain the democratic governance and the liberty of our beloved community.

Thanks to the new game mechanic whereby regions may choose to vest the executive power in a Governorship rather than in the Delegacy, the community of Forest has now escaped from the threat of hostile takeover by raider forces and from the circumstance of our security being measured by the number of citizens willing to maintain membership within the World Assembly for the sake of ensuring the independence and security of our region, rather than for the merits of the World Assembly itself.

During the first weeks of the hugely consequential government of Uan aa Boa, the Forest Keeper and Head of Government, the citizens of Forest voted to appoint a Governor. The process began in late April 2023, and ended twenty-eight days later in late May 2023. Having previously served as the World Assembly Delegate since August 2021, when Ransium stepped down from the role, I coordinated the transition to operating under a Governor, and I am extraordinarily humbled to have been supported by the citizenry of Forest to continue on as Head of State moving forward, now as Governor, rather than as the Executive World Assembly Delegate.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to every single person who supported this process. We would not have reached this point without the presence, spirit, and mutual friendship and camaraderie of everyone operating in concert. I pledge that I will fulfill the Constitution of Forest to the utmost of my ability, and that I will strive to embody The Forest Way and to foster a region which, in the words of our Founder, Errinundera, "welcomes all nations, especially those concerned with the environment." May it always be so.
