The Horde of Lone Wolves United

The Horde

As a crasher organization, Lone Wolves United has primarily organized raids through our Discord chat and while we have relied on reservists to maintain our hold over the regions we strike, we have not until now introduced a way in which those unable to make update times or unable to join our Discord for whatever reason can advance through the ranks. To correct this, and to allow for greater participation amongst our on-site only members, Lone Wolves United is proud to introduce the Horde. Below, you can find the information on how to join the ranks of the Horde, how to advance, its current standing orders and all other questions you may have. Should you still have other questions, feel free to telegram one of our officers.

What is the Horde?

The Horde are the reserves of Lone Wolves United. When a region is raided at update (which occur every day at 12am EST and 12pm EST), we rely on reinforcements to maintain our occupation of the region. This is where the Horde comes in: as members that do not participate on Discord or cannot make updates due to their real life schedule, but who still want to participate, we rely on these members to solidify our hold on a target region. Their role is simple, yet vital to the success of our organization.

What is raiding?
In NationStates, nations cannot directly invade one another. However, nations are grouped together in regions, the equivalent of guilds or clans in other games. These regions are governed, in turn, by a Governor and a World Assembly Delegate. In some regions, however, there is no Governor, and in these regions the Delegate reigns supreme. Delegates are elected by World Assembly nations. As such, gain the position of Delegate in a region and you control the region. To do this, Lone Wolves United will typically have its active forces seize control over a region, coordinated through our discord, following which the reinforcements are called in to secure the operation. This is where the Horde comes in: for those who are not on discord to coordinate the initial seizure of the target region, the Horde provides the reinforcements to these operations, allowing them to succeed beyond the initial strike.

How do I participate?
All LWU members are encouraged to join our Discord, to coordinate raids, learn how to quickly and/or stealthily seize control over a region, and to advance to lead their own raids eventually. However, we recognise not everyone is able to join our discord or does not want to for their own reasons. As such, joining the Horde is very easy. Your nation must be in the World Assembly. Click here to see how. Whenever the Horde deploys, a region-wide telegram will be sent by an officer. It will contain specific instructions: what region to move to, what nation to endorse, and another nation you need to send a telegram to. Simply follow these instructions, and your participation will be noted. Officers will keep track of your deployments, and promote you accordingly!

Ranks of the Horde
As the Horde is a separate part of the pack, it uses a different ranking structure from the Wolves that participate on Discord. These ranks and those who hold them will be updated by Command in the spoilers below. Take note that these ranks mark participation in reinforcements.

Recruits are new arrivals in Lone Wolves United, who are new to reinforcements. They are eager to advance, and can easily advance to the next rank.

Pillagers are the next rank in the Horde. A pillager has provided reinforcements on multiple occasions and within the fastest possible time frame.

Pillagers that continue to reinforce swiftly and effectively may be promoted to Veteran.

Long-time members of the Horde who have loyally deployed and proven their dedication to the Horde will be promoted to Marauder.

Those who have continued to serve at every opportunity to participate in reinforcement operations swiftly and competently will find themselves named Slayer of the Horde.

The best the Horde has to offer. Vanguards of the horde are regularly the first to respond to the call to arms and they’ve done it over countless operations. They are what other members of the Horde strive to be.
