Dventeri

Dventeri is a state in the Highland region of the Republic of Littolyo. Dventeri borders Dvaltu to the west, Highland to the north, and Divina to the east. The state has coastline along the Saffron Sea to the south, specifically Breene Bay to the southwest and Skolsfjord to the east. The state's northwestern panhandle touches a corner of Alacade.

With approximately 4.6 million residents across a total area of 361,765 km², Dventeri is the 22nd-most populous and 11th-largest Littolyen state by area. The state's capital is Pogue and its largest city is Erren, which are sometimes referred to collectively as Pogue-Erren, Littolyo's 24th-largest city. Dventeri is part of a sub-region known as the Dvrene, which was colonized by Magarati migrants from Athara Magarat in the "Southern Takes" of the 11th and 12th centuries; Pogue became an important Magarati port on Breene Bay in the 16th century. By economic output, Dventeri ranks 24th among the 36 Littolyen states, with a gross state product of approximately $266 billion. The state's economy is anchored in agriculture, fishing, and manufacturing.

Like its fellow Dvrene constituent and "sister state" of Dvaltu, Dventeri is known for a unique blend of Magarati culture with Litul and Olani influences, and is culturally more Magarati than Dvaltu; Dventeri has the most residents of any state living in protected traditional villages, and the mud-and-thatch architecture of these villages are a draw for tourists. Dventeri is one of the poorest Littolyen states, and lacks the social mobility of Dvaltu. Culturally and politically, the state leans conservative, with the exception of Pogue-Erren. Dventeri is the number one arrival point for immigrants from other countries, due in part to its low cost of living; between 2020 and 2021, more than a million refugees from Mokov passed through the port of entry in Tristenn, as they fled violent chaos in their home country, and a large Mokovian diaspora remains in the state. Dventeri is part of the Dvrene cultural community.

Geographically, Dventeri lies at the intersection of the Dvaltu Basin in the state's west and south, the Littolyen Highlands in the state's north, and the Southern Temerstrom Mountains in the state's center and east. The Breene Bay coast is dominated by marshlands, while the Skolsfjord coastline is much more rocky and sheer. Much of Dventeri's land is either pine forest or grassland. Most of the state's population lives in the lowlands and Temerstrom foothills. Dventeri's climate is predominantly oceanic, with warm-summer Mediterranean at some lower elevations, and a warm-summer continental climate in the mountains, with pockets of subarctic and tundra at the highest peaks.
