🃏 The North Pacific - Cards Symposium 2023 🃏
Greetings, everyone! Yet again, we of the North Pacific Cards Guild hereby return with one of our most anticipated events of this region, the 2023 Cards Symposium!
To celebrate the continued triumph of trading cards as a prominent feature, The North Pacific hereby invites YOU, fellow NationStates user, to attend this event!
Starting first-thing on March 19 2023, players finding themselves participating in this year's event will get to experience a wide range of activities, whether it be: 1) competing in games to win awards, 2) listening to experienced card users giving lectures, and more!

With all honesty, there's so many things that it'll prove difficult to name! There will be events such as card collecting competitions, card lotteries, long-time users speaking about their experiences in cards, and even gaming rooms such as a Hunger Games match. Maybe you like chess? We have that too! Be assured that there will be more than enough events in order to make your participation worthwhile ❤️

For continuous events, we will hold a daily card lottery each day from 3/19/2023 until 3/25/2023 at 7 A.M. CST/8:00 A.M. ET/1:00 P.M. UTC. The card lottery will randomly select a registered attendee at the event to receive 1 legendary card. This may include some of the most valuable legendary cards, so be sure to attend! 🃏

Skribbl.io Match | 1 game (5-7 rounds) of Skribbl.io will be hosted by the event planners. Skribbl.io is a game where players must quickly guess what the other players are drawing, along with ensuring that their own drawings are able to be guessed. Uno Freak Match | 1 game of Uno Freak will be hosted by one of the event planners. Unlike traditional Uno matches, Uno Freak allows for an unlimited amount of players to join. Conditions to win are that the player must rank 1st in the leaderboard.Award for Winning: the participant who ranked 1st place will receive a Season 2 Abacathea. Participants who rank 2nd or 3rd place will receive a lower-value legendary card. The rest of the participants who manage to complete the match will have 1 randomly chosen to receive a legendary card of unknown value. Paper.io Midweek Madness | For the rest of the week, participants will be allowed to submit a Paper.io score. Paper.io is a game in which players try to fill up as much of the map with their own territory as possible (while having to fight off other players).Whoever submits the highest overall score will be declared the overall winner. Additionally, a bonus reward will be sent to the first participant who submits an overall score that manages to meet/surpass 69.00%. Nice. Awards for Winning: whoever achieves the highest overall score will receive a Season 1 G-Tech Corporation. Krunker.io Showdown | At least 1 team-based (including 'Capture the Flag') match of Krunker will be held. Krunker is a casual FPS browser game in which players may choose to eliminate each other using a wide variety of weapons in order to fulfill objectives throughout matches.Award for winning: each player on the winning team will receive 2 extra card requests, while the player who manages to generate the most amount of points on the winning team will additionally be sent a Season 2 Auralia to their designated account. Additionally, the player on the losing team who manages to score the most points for their team will be sent a random legendary card to their account. | Wednesday - 3/22/2023 at 5:00 P.M. Tetr.io Showdown | For the entire day, participants will be allowed to submit a Tetr.io ('blitz' mode) score. Tetr.io is a game where a nearly unlimited amount of players can face off each other in matches of Tetris. Conditions to win this event are that one player must submit the highest Tetr.io blitz score by the end of the day.Award for winning: the participant declared the winner will receive a Season 3 Glen-Rhodes for their designated account. | Thursday - 3/23/2023 at 12:00 A.M. Chess Tournament | Several matches of fast-paced Lichess matches will be hosted by one of the event planners. By the end of the event, the user prevailing over all of their opponents will be crowned the winner!Award for Winning: the participant declared the overall winner will receive a Season 1 Aleisyr to their designated account. This card is an extremely rare find that hasn?t been purchased in nearly a year, so don?t miss your opportunity to snag one of the hardest-to-obtain cards of all time! Not only will you get the chance to gain first-hand knowledge regarding the cards game, but you'll also receive multiple chances to win extremely valuable cards each day, including the highly coveted Testlandia!
Each day, there will be 1 lottery that will take place, and a random user attending the event will be the recipient of a randomized legendary card. In addition, multiple events + competitions will be hosted that will reward the winner with cards of the same rarity as mentioned, so not only will participation in those events be fun, but they'll also be highly rewarding!
And finally, for this Symposium, various tasks may be held throughout the week, with each task rewarding a certain degree of points to the participant! These points may be exchanged for certain rewards, such as specialized card requests! This system will be in place as a way to ensure that all participants are guaranteed a reward should they attend.
