Succeeding Minister Furshko Shot, In Critical Condition

Saturday, Bleaton- Succeeding Minister/Vice President of Borisuelo was shot in the lower back while addressing some supporters in Bleaton. Franc Fursko was scheduled to talk to some supporters about the recent Solaryi frigate sinking. At around 10:44 AM, two shots rang out on 8th Main Street, and Furshko went down in pain. His bodyguards were quick to deescalate the situation, but it was too late, as Furshko was directly hit in the tailbone, and was sent to nearby Norton Hospital. "As of now, he is in very bad condition, but we really hope he does improve," said Dr. Berani. Once minister Richards was informed, he sent the country into Code Red, or High alert National Crisis.

The gunman was immediately captured and sent to questioning. The suspect is reportedly a 22 year old man by the name of Kiryan Brozcov who was armed with a LVI 19 Firearm. The man had just finished his military service and brought the rifle home, having planned to shoot Furshko, who is known for being very harsh to Esterazian peoples, and is sided far left on the political spectrum. With the recent crisis in the Mesder Sea, the citizen of Bleaton knew it was a perfect target point. When the Succeeding Minister traveled to the city for a rally meant to alleviate naval fears, Brozcov brought his firearm and took two shots, missing one but wedging one into Furshko's vertebrae, a very serious injury. Following, the crowd panicked and tackled the man, with security and medics rushing to aid.

According to his girlfriend, Brozcov was a normal man, but sometimes became very tense. She mentioned his Esterazian background, but hid it due to the recent crisis. "He was taken to a mental hospital, but couldn't be helped," she said. "The situation became too overwhelming that I had to leave for my own safe measures. The last time I was with him, he was a man I didn't even know, full with rage and hate. After hearing about the incident, I was frightened and very worried for the city, myself, the country, and Kiryan." Brozcov is currently in custody, and a session will take place in the next few days.

More about Franc Furshko's health, he is on life support and is currently undertaking a very crucial but risky surgery to his lower spine. The nation is praying at the hands of very skilled doctors. The bullet is known to have hit around the Coccyx, or tailbone. "It is very crucial that we do this right, or he may not walk or live," said the hospital. "With this type of situation, he may not survive." That clip played on the news in front of millions of anxious and worried Borisueloans, who are very scared for the future. Many have even gone to the extent to predict the demise of the nation. All everyone can do is pray for the best.

Franc Furshko was originally a lawyer in the small town of Kilum, near Ludlow, but then was nominated into the cabinet during the leadership of Granti Filinpom. After around a decade of service, he partnered with close ally Richards in the election of 2018, winning as his running mate, being appointed succeeding minister. Both have common views towards increased trade and economic boosts, while balancing the military. Many have come to enjoy their leadership, up until the recent Luvan Crisis. The crisis had made the government switch their funding and goals, causing widespread disagreement. With the election for Prime Minister following this year's summer, the current leadership is probably going to be thrown out of office. However, radical Brozcov couldn't wait this time, and took action. This leads up to today, where the nation is praying for Furshko's wellness in the hospital.

Government closes Borisuelo's Sea Borders

With the Luvan Archipelago Crisis and Mesder Sea Crisis escalating recently, the Borisueloan government has decided to shut down Borisuelo's coastal borders, meaning military actions, trade, and transport. Recently, trade has been halted due to mines placed in the Mesder Sea, and violence by Esterazian sided Vacrus. Minister Richards passed the "Naval closure Act" earlier this week, sealing off the nation's ocean access. Trade by cargo ships is now disallowed, due to possible inconvenience and danger. The nation's economy is expected to take a blow, but measures have been taken to ensure other methods of trade, like by air. Along with this, the navy is cautioned to reduce activity in dangerous waters, and form a blockade close to the nation's shore. Naval training and other activities are scheduled in other waters or large inland lakes currently. Finally, a very risky move was put in place to fire at any incoming unidentified ships, as other nations and shipping companies were notified to stay away. It is reassuring to many, but could spark further conflict if used wrongly.

Cruise or passenger operations have also been temporarily stopped to or from Borisuelo, not including domestic transport by sea. Many citizens of many nations have shared their disagreement with this action, with one some saying they depended on this travel, or didn't get a reasonable refund.

The passenger airlines Bergowitz and Venture have also been effected, as flights have been canceled to enemy and unsafe countries. This mainly includes flights to and from Esterazdravo. The industry is expected to make a comeback this year though, as tourism boosts and the air travel is depended on by many people in Borisuelo.
