Party Constitution Proposal
Article I - Party Chancellor
The Party shall be led by the Party Chancellor. The Party Chancellor shall be elected whenever a Senator requests an election, and another Senator seconds their motion. However, a Chancellorship election must be at least 14 days after the last one. The Party Senators will vote to ascend a fellow Senator to this position.
Article II - Deputy Chancellor
The Party Chancellor may appoint a Deputy Chancellor, who shall serve at the Chancellor's pleasure taking his role whenever asked by the Chancellor and returning it whenever asked by the Chancellor.
Article III - Party Convention
A Party Convention shall be held every month, or when 5 senators sign a petition requesting one, or if the Chancellor requests one.
Article IV - Removal of Members and Senators
The Party Chancellor may remove a Senator at will and remove or ban a member at will. Any banning of a Senator must be agreed upon by a majority of the Senators. The Senate may override any removal or ban with 2/3rds of a vote.
Article V - Senate and Chancellor Voting Authority
The Senate shall vote on major party decisions. The Chancellor, who oversees the Senate, may dissent on any vote and ask for an immediate revote. On this secondary vote, the Chancellor may cast a vote. The Chancellor and the Senate must obey the result of all voted-upon resolutions. A simple majority of all tallied votes is required for the passage of a resolution unless the resolution has a specific requirement listed in this constitution.
Article VI - Senate Tie Breaking
If there is a tie vote in the Senate, the Party Chancellor may vote to break the tie. Whether or not they have already voted during that vote on a "revote" listed in Article V does not matter, they may vote again to break the tie. If they decline to break the tie, the vote fails.
Article VII - Becoming a Senator
Any party member who wishes to be a Senator and has been affiliated with the party for more than a week shall be granted Senatorship immediately by the Chancellor upon request.
Article VIII - Party Membership
Any Thaecian citizen may join the party upon request to the Party Chancellor who will invite them to the Party discord server.
Article IX - Chancellor Duties
The Chancellor, unless another trusted Party member is delegated this duty, must keep a detailed dispatch of all Party laws and rules, a list of Party members, and a copy of this Party Constitution for safekeeping.
Article X - The Senate
Section I - The Senate shall be in continuous session unless no resolution is being debated. Each resolution shall be allowed no more and nor less than 24 hours of debate and a 24-hour voting period unless the Senate agrees upon changing this allotted time for a given resolution.
Section II - The Chancellor or a majority of Senators may remove a Senator from debate if they prove to be disorderly. No Senator shall be denied the right to vote on a resolution.
Section III - Any Senator may have one proposed resolution in the backlog of resolutions at a time. The backlog will be completed by an ordered list of which they were added to the backlog, each added proposal being added to the bottom of the list. Any resolution can be immediately moved to the front by a motion agreed upon by a majority of Senators within a 12-hour timeframe.
Article XI - Amendments
The Senate may amend this Constitution with a 3/5ths vote in the Senate and a majority vote of the Party whole.
