Citizen Activities

Citizen Activities
Why do citizen activities?
  • Really, you should do these things if you want to. If you just want to answer Issues, vote in the World Assembly, and so on, that's perfectly okay! However, our community and regions do offer more activities for you to take part in, so if these sound interesting to you, consider trying them out!

  • Everything listed in this dispatch benefits the regional community, making it more engaging and fun for all members, and stronger within the context of the larger world.

  • Contribute as much or as little as you want - it makes a positive impact on regional development.

What are your options?

We have a diverse array of things you can join to contribute to the community. Join as few or as many as you want!
  • Link Join the regional military! While there is no nation-level war mechanic, NationStates has a subset called "military gameplay" where players can do battle over regions. Our regional military is one of the largest "defender" militaries in the world, meaning we fight against "raiders" who vandalize and destroy regions. It's a great way to meet new people and learn about game mechanics. If it interests you, contact Fort Concord.

  • Become a recruiter! A healthy culture of recruitment is one of the most important things for regional growth. With the Discord bot we use, Dot, it's an easy way to help the region while doing other things (NationStates related or otherwise) and you can earn some prizes while doing it. For more information on it, check out this dispatch or contact Fort Concord.

  • Join the Culture Department! The culture department of the region is responsible for planning events and activities. These can include (but are not limited to) game nights, movie screenings, or festivals with other regions. It's open ended, so if you have a project you think would be a cool addition beyond more regular events, feel free to join and ask if it can be pursued! If you're interested in working with culture, contact Fort Concord.

  • Link Roleplay! If worldbuilding and development of national lore is something you want to spend time on, consider becoming a roleplayer. We have a detailed and regularly updated map and a wiki that is constantly being updated by players of varying activity. If you want to give this a try, contact Mechanocracy.

  • Become an Ambassador! If interregional diplomacy is something that interests you, then becoming a Diplomatic Agent might be something worth considering. These ambassadors distribute foreign updates to our embassy partners and attend negotiations that involve regions they are assigned to. Read here for more information, and if you are considering joining, contact Fort Concord.
