Most preparations are made for hypothetical “disaster” scenarios in which a threat suddenly appears and needs to be neutralized quickly, most actual missions however are against foreign or Wagner threats. Upon official incorporation into government in 1946 the DAS numbered about 7 units though now in the 1980s the number is thought to be much higher.
That recent success was indeed one! George confirmed it, although I wish I didn’t need people to confirm things anymore, I seem to no longer be at the front but after my recent mistake I have been placed in the back. These new overseers do not understand any of this, the units, the art and the science! Yet they say that we can’t do this or that, typical bureaucracy as I expected before.
But I don’t like to focus on the negatives, it isn’t always gloomy. There has been some good news with the company, yes the drillers say that the shell is nearly broken. Again will we fight the Wagners, [REDACTED] says that continuing this and wanting a fight is not good but it must be done. We are the only ones who can fight these people or things, so the government will be forced to keep us, and me in, unless they want the [REDACTED] running around the Land of Enchantment.
Anyway, it has been nice to just write this and talk to somebody, even in this way. Also don’t forget, the Yorktown project is on a deadline.
Yours Truly, Frederick Rentschler”
[REDACTED] 13th, 1946
Throughout 1946 the results would be catalogued by researches beginning in February, parts of these will now be digressed.
“Note #264: We have performed the 2nd attempt on replicating the Parrot, mixed success, a organism was created but it was not a duplicate and died within minutes.
Note #275: Observations of the duplicate Parrot has been finished for the day, the impression is that behavior is similar by 98%.
Note #286: After about 2 weeks the parrot has died after days in agony, this section of experiments will have to be continue.
Note: #301: After about a month of life the situation of the parrot was interrupted by a situation on the adjacent area, experiments will be halted until further notice but the Parrot achieved considerable success.
Note #302: Experiments have resumed, though the foul scent in the air has made progress difficult.
Note 307#: Another situation occurred nearby, experimenting will be halted until further notice.
Note #310: After consideration our spaces will be moved to a different area to allow research to be continued.
Note #330: Experiments on the dog has been successful, it has been recommended that preparations are made for humans.
Note #347: The human subject has been wheeled in, they are somehow familiar.
Note #351: Contact experiment has been made, much screaming and scarring.
Note #352: We will be moving back to previous spaces after a period of peace.
Note #353: We moved back but almost immediately another situation, much stronger than before occurred. There was a break in the walls, they seemed to be focusing on the human.
Note #254: Another pause, I remember the human subject we are testing on however, I’ve seen him a few time with Director GM, they seemingly were close.
Note #278: A close copy has been produced and then another situation occurred. The remains of the old human were taken, the copy escaped in the confusion shouting about letters and bureaucracy. They have not been found. Research will be indefinitely suspended due to damage to the areas from the situations.
This concludes this section.
If at any this is noticed to be in your possession, then it is recommended that you commit suicide, for it is preferable than being sent down there. If you decide not to, it is possible, although unlikely you will be asked to be part of the forming of a Ethics Committee or on the team for the IKEA Observation Group, though it should be said again that it is unlikely.
This is the end of this section, proceed further at your own risk.
