Skytrader: What's A Runway?

With a rather small (if not nonexistent) market fulfilling demands for STOL aircraft, Pelican Aircraft has decided to step up to the plate, being responsible for the ADC-23 and ADC-12, though the latter used their involvement to fix up the old rotting airframes. Regardless, they have decided to make this (formerly) limited product available to the wider market. The Skytrader is an aircraft based on the failed Dominion Skytrader, which was canceled due to a lack of market demand at the time of its completion. The sole model was purchased in 1992, reverse-engineered, then recreated and produced by Pelican as the Skytrader... Which is a very creative way of ripping off another company that has since gone under.

Having the engines replaced with a domestically produced variant of the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-140AG, along with some upgraded avionics and an upgraded airframe, the aircraft is now one hell of a STOL beast, though the improvements to payload capacity are only hindered by the sheer internal space available. And no, you cannot fill it with lead or tungsten either. Not unless you want it to sag or remain grounded. You idiot.

The total crew is a nifty two, just two pilots, seated side-by-side, with a capacity of up to 12 passengers, maybe 13 if you want someone sitting in someone's lap, or up to 20 if you try to shove in even more people, for the sake of moving your entire extended family in as few trips as possible.

With a range of 2,500km and a top speed of 410km/h, she's also more than capable of getting you to where you need to go, no matter what! A nice little thing to have, truly, even if it means arriving in a bush plane that would probably raise a few eyebrows as it rolls down the street to the wedding reception before your extended family comes pouring out the door.
