The Underwater Commando Group "Veles", or UCG "Veles" informally called "commando frogmen", are a Moryazvian Naval Spetsnaz unit under operational subordination to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU). It is the special forces unit of the Moryazvian Naval Infantry and is composed of highly trained and elite marines within the Naval Infantry. These forces are in charge of conducting stealthy attacks, sabotage, and raids on enemy strategic infrastructure, whether they be on land, in the ocean, or beneath it, during times of war. Floating platforms are another target for them to attack. In order to retain control over foreign ports and underwater areas and to gather intelligence on coastal areas prior to troop deployment, the UCG-V is also involved in coastal reconnaissance.
