[Opening Address] A Proud Haven
Hello friends!
I would like to thank all those who have expressed their support during this election. While we do have a relatively small off-site membership, it's safe to say that we are making steady progress in turning it into a real community. My dear friend Istillian and I will be presenting the Lawgrove with our Minordomo nominees shortly.
As outlined in our campaign, we plan on focusing on creating more solid systems and expanding our roleplaying. We've already received ideas from citizens as well, so a big thank you to all those who are eager to get involved.
Back when I first founded this region I had no idea what I was doing, and sometimes it feels like I still don't. Nonetheless it has evolved in expected and unexpected ways, and I am glad that I made the choice I did.
Istillian and I hope that you will enjoy this 90-day adventure with us. And if you'd like to get further involved, check out our Discord server, where you can become a citizen and apply for a position in our government.
As you might've noticed, our regional flag and discord server logo are looking slightly different today. In celebration of pride month Sky Haven will be celebrating through several events, one of which will be regional flag variants based on pride flag/LGBT symbols. At the end of Pride month we will be releasing a gallery as well! If you would like an artwork of yours to be featured in the gallery, feel free to send a telegram to Brox Reple or a discord DM to SkyGreen#4032.
Today we are honouring the Intersex community. The intersex flag is a purple circle on a yellow background, created in 2013. The flag "[..] is not derivative, but is yet firmly grounded in meaning" as it uses colors free from gender association as well as those which have historically been used to represent intersex people.
