Talamnia, officially the Workers' Republic of Talamnia, is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of western Europe. Its people are predominantly the descendants of Goidelic and Iberoceltic settlers who arrived ca. 300 BCE from Ireland and Iberia, and of English settlers who arrived following the British conquest of the Talamnian Isles in the 1710s. The name "Talamnia" derives from the Old Goidelic for "new land".
