King and Donor Recovering

The latest news from WF National confirms the King is continuing to recover from his operation. His transplanted liver and kidneys are beginning to perform their functions, and his doctors have observed notable improvement in his internal functioning.
On Monday, he was transferred from intensive care to a recovery unit, where he will stay for about a week before being sent home. He shall have a lengthy recovery period of up to eight months once he is discharged, but he is expected to heal well with the great care and emotional support his family provide.
The anonymous liver donor is also reportedly on the mend, though not at the rate physicians are hoping. The donor has been on a ventilator since the operation, which vastly increases the risk for complications. The donor's heart and lungs show little improvement since last week, indicating permanent injury that will very likely require surgery. Although 'tis too soon to tell, the donor's recovery is anticipated to be almost as lengthy as the King's.
