OOC Note: This part of the wiki is very FT. I mean very.
A census of all of New Kowloon Bay is taken every 5 years, and in the [REDACTED], NKB had a population of 2,918,901,113. The main source of population increase was from birth, especially with the new vat-grown baby policy being able to push out many babies per second, although immigration is also a small source of population increase. Between the last census and the latest census, the population increased by 0.887%, although around 6% was from taking in refugees from the Transisraeli Crisis. The recent census has provided a figure: Ages 0-14 make up 27.8% of the population, ages 15-30 make up 42.9%, ages 30-65 make up 18.01% of the population, and 66-100 make up 7.6% of the population, and because of the recent 'LifeStretch' Vatgrown technology, 100+ aged populations make up 3.69% of the population, although they are still as fit as an average 25 year old.
Most of the population of NKB live offworld in the Department of the Space Territories, which make up 89.9% of the population, followed by Canton(5.01%) and Tonkin(2.91%). Meanwhile, due to vast expanses of space territory to control, NKB has a very low population density, 31.01 per km in rural to suburban areas, and densely-packed clusters in large urban areas.
In the latest census, the average birth rate across New Kowloon Bay was 2.25 babies per family. This birth rate, which has risen in recent years due to the VatGrown technology, and contributes significantly to the population. Thus, the birth rate has surpassed the replacement rate and the death rate, but NKB is not overpopulated, again due to the vast expanses of space territory. The recent census also included a graph on sexualities. Around 2.8% of the population identify as an LGBTQ+ gender minority, while 0.97% stated that 'I don't know' or 'I am transitioning' as their answer. The current median age of a Kowlooni is 26.91.

The primary indigenous population of New Kowloon Bay is the Kowlooni, which is a mix of Chinese, Maori and the Aborginals, which makes for 83.12% of the population. The Kowlooni are mainly split by Main Kowlooni, Chinese, Maori, Guangdong, Vatgrown and Others. Main Kowlooni makes up the largest amount of the population, with 1.47 billion being of Main Kowlooni descent. The next place which makes up the demography are the Maori, at 490 million, with the Aborginals coming in a close second at 477 million. Next is the Chinese, with them at 126 million, making up around 5% of the demography. Finally, there are the Vatgrowns. As they are a relatively and very new front to the NKB demography, they only make up around 75 million. The rest of the population differ in many ways, like sapient and sentient species, other Eurasian peoples, which make up 45 million. The last 19 million people are either of African or American decent.
New Kowloon Bay has four national languages: English, Cantonese, Te Reo Maori, and Waiian. Being fluent in English is a must for continued living in anywhere in New Kowloon Bay, and it is estimated that 36% of Kowloonis are only monolingual speakers. In some other-language dominated provinces, other languages may be required for continued studying onwards. Approximately 47% of Kowloonis are bilinguals with any other national language, 10% are trilinguals and 7% are polylinguals(speak four languages or more).
Migration has led more and more languages to be introduced to NKB, mainly German, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and French.
The main religion of NKB is Maori Christianity, and has evolved only in 1810, to adapt to the European-dominated religion of Christianity, so it has been the mainstream religion for over 14,000 years. Even now, Maori Christianity still dominates the number of religious persons, but that number has been in a slight decline, although it is predicted to rise slightly with the findings of the NKB Alchemy Department, although church attendance has fallen around 5% with the rise of immigration, cultural trends and demography.
In the latest census, around 51% of Kowloonis stated that they did not have any religious belief, the largest number since the Rebirth periods. The largest faith, Maori Christianity, was believed in by around 26% of all Kowloonis, followed by Buddhism(11%), Dreamtime(5%), Judaism(3%), Hinduism(2.5%), Muslim(1%)and Other(0.5%). In the Other section, around 0.2% are Taoists, and 0.1% are Confuciusanism. Around 1 out of 50 Kowloonis attend church services once a week, and between the last census and this census, the number of atheists increased by 2.5%, a growing trend since the First Spacefaring Era.
Among the Christians, Maori Christians serve as the largest number of Christians, making up 48.9% of all Christians, with their head church being based in the Wellington Maori Christian Church. That Church is the Church that the original Maori religion adopted and evolved into, and was first constructed in 1815. The next dominant Christian Church is the Protestant Church, making up 30.6% of all Christians, and it's main church is the Mount Eden Abbey Church in Auckland. The third Church is the Roman Catholic Church, with its headquarters based in Hammondburgh Church and Nunnery.
The monarch is actually declared the Head Chancellor of the Christianity of Kowloon.
Education in NKB has a semi-unified structure under the Education Department. Because of the long living rates for people in New Kowloon Bay, more than 91% have a college or university degree, among the highest in the world. More than 40 NKB universities rank among the top 100 in the world, mainly among them Miltonford and Chayenne, which consistently rank among the top 5 every year.
