Amistad Declaration

[strike]Upon becoming a signatory of the declaration under President Mawar Al-Sherbak, this country has now declared slavery in all forms illegal and punishable by death. However, any countries that wish to counter this ruling or fight against this declaration are free to do so, but it is ill-advised to start a literal war against Gonswanza over this sudden agreement given the loss of life and sheer economic expenses cannot be justified in any sense over this policy. For more details, read here.[/strike]

Upon realizing that such a declaration is from both a bygone era, and used as a foil by certain actors to force their rule upon others, Laura Ortiz has formally signed off on abandoning the Amistad Declaration, even going so far as to burn Gonswanza's own copy on live TV, as the reasons were made clear. Slavers, while vile, are no different from the same savages who seek to crusade against them. Hence, why even join them at all if it's just another side of the same bloody coin? Funny enough, Laura Ortiz also used this to help stamp out Mawar Al-Sherbak's legacy, once and for all, declaring independence from both slavers and anti-slavers, to stand alone with the KTO.
