Some people mocked some of the governmen measures that is obvious though, and a person goes serious enough to make a mock government website! The government requested to take it down but the person didn't budge. The government later give up on the take down request.

REFERENDUM RESULT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED: NO GUIDELINES AGAINST PNDCH-34

A couple of days ago a referendum was held to establish guidelines aimed at limiting the spread of the well-known PNDCH-34 virus which is now arriving on all continents. The referendum left no room for great doubts, 62% of Garganians voted AGAINST the establishment of the anti-PNDCH-34 guidelines. Thanks to the result of the referendum, Gargano ratified a document which essentially states the continuation of trade, flights and the continuous opening of schools and commercial activities.

The Lomellinis, great supporters of the establishment of the guidelines, have complained about the unreliability of the vote given the absence of Ukrainians (about 30% of the population) at the polls (Ukranians are denied the right to vote by Gargano's law) and still advised to stay at home and prevent contagion. Instead, the Di Sangros reassure that the virus is not dangerous and deadly enough and that if the guidelines had been approved it would have been counterproductive, indeed, the Di Sangros affirm that the outcome of the referendum will be of great help in not stopping the great growth economy of the nation.

In the last few days, PNDCH-34 has reached every major city and even the colonies. Ampuries' and especially Freeside's hospitals are closed due to the ridiculous influx of patients, and corpses can be found outside them. Homeless people take them somewhere more private and proceed to eat them, even before the relatives of the victims were notified of the death of their loved one. It's sickening, even for Vantierian standards.
Nurses are working 8 extra hours every day, and people keep dying anyways. The psychological impact on them is massive, with many nurses being diagnosed with anxiety and depression.

Still, Freeside refuses to implement any anti-PNDCH-34 measures, and the city is starting to collapse. The rest of Vantier, especially Ampuries, is considering a total lockdown of the country or, at the very least, the cities. Everyone must wear a face mask and wash their hands with alcohol before entering any public place, including buses, hospitals or schools.
Schwarzenberg has apologized for "how badly everything has gone" and he "accepts full responsibility for how awfully PNDCH-34 has been handled in Vantier". Freeside's government has criticized Schwarzenberg for "taking this communist nonsense seriously" and for "becoming a victim of communist propaganda". Freeside's population is nearly 80% black and 10% Indian, meaning that only 10% of the population has had political rights until very recently and as such, Freeside's government is very conservative (it is the only major city ruled by the National Party, and where the National Front is more active and relevant).

Many private labs have begun developing a Vantierian vaccine for PNDCH-34, now that the virus is considered an actual threat for most. However, the Vantierian government has offered foreign labs and governments (Skelleftella) financial support for the development of their own vaccines, in order to help them put an end to this disease as soon as possible.

The Bethersontonian Director-General of Health, in response to the referendum result in Gargano today, has closed the border to Gargano and returning citizens will be required to isolate. The Director-General, at her now regular "10am standups" stated that "We are taking this virus seriously, and I will not risk the health of Bethersontonians by keeping the border open to a nation that is not taking it seriously". The border has also been closed to Dmaskrass but the Minister of Health, also present at the standup, acknowledged "at least their government is trying to do something about it".

After the liberals and the communists kicked the nationals out of power in Freeside, they introduced some serious measures to stop the spread of the Indian virus. Face masks are mandatory when 2 or more people are together in a same place, outdoors or indoors, private or public. They must be worn at all times, including when doing sport, smoking, eating or having sex, even if you are home.
Those detected with PNDCH-34 will have to remain isolated for 25 days, more than necessary. Thanks to these measures, PNDCH-34 cases grew by only 15% yesterday in Freeside, compared to the former 130% daily infection rate before the Liberal-Communist coalition took over.

Meanwhile, other cities aren't as fortunate: PNDCH-34 is considered to be "out of control" in Vantier (except in Freeside, where PNDCH-34 is relatively under control"). The daily PNDCH-34 cases growth rate is 35%, meaning that Vantier is still in big trouble.
PNDCH-34 continues to grow in Vantier, and people keep dying, but the situation isn't as chaotic now that Freeside is finally stabilizing. MedCare Vantier has announced that some "important progress" is being made in the development of Vantier's vaccine against PNDCH-34, thanks to the freedom and funds they've been given by the government to experiment and hire staff to help.

The virus, which entered in the country a few moment ago, arrived at more than 2500 cases. This is due to the mass protests that occur all over the country about the 'abusive' quarentine. A new law that the Leader himself created says that if someone gets out of his home (exept for getting food or for work in special sectors), they can get up a fine of 5000 USD if they are seen outside of their houses. And those illegal protests are gonna be punished by the police with a great violence. Already 14 protestants died because of the police and more than 100 because of the Disease.
