The Interplanetary War, at the time called the UN-MCR-FJR War, was a military conflict fought in the Sol System by the forces of the Sol Defense Corps Navy, Martian Congressional Republic Navy, and the Free Jovian Navy, serving as the culmination of decades of tension between Earth and her colonies. The fighting was primarily centered around the Belt between Mars and Jupiter, however also featured heavy fighting between Earth and Martian orbits.

The war remained the most costly and largest military conflict in Human history until the UN's entry into the Labyrinthine War in 2115, with the destruction of major population centers in all 3 nations, the complete collapse of the Jovian civilian and military logistics network, and the first use of nuclear weapons since the Second World War.
