The Oath of Allegiance
The Oath of Allegiance refers to the oath of loyalty to the Candanadian monarch that must be sworn by the Chancellor, parliamentarians, cabinet ministers, provincial/regional politicians and leaders, as well as members of the Candanadium Defence Forces (except those of Trefjalli citizenship). The Oath of Allegiance must also be sworn by naturalized Candanadian citizens as a prerequisite for gaining Candanadian citizenship.
The Oath of Allegiance is also administered in conjunction with other oaths depending on context, such as the Oath of Citizenship.
The oath-taker, when being administered the oath, must raise their right hand in the traditional Kaltach Schwurhand gesture, with the thumb, forefinger, and middle finger extended. The oath-taker may choose to swear the oath beneath a maple tree, in the Oseanian tradition, or on a holy book of their choice. Additionally, they may choose to swear the oath on the Charter of Federation, the Candanadian Legal Code, or the Candanadian flag.
Versions of the Oath of Allegiance exist in Oseanian and Kanadiaans for federal use, as well as in Caskaans, Trefjalli, and Hautsing Mandarin for regional and provincial use.
The Oath of Allegiance reads as follows:
I, [name], swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty, King Herman von Magnar, the third of His name, King of Candanadium and her dependencies, and His heirs and successor. So help me God / So help me Gods.
In Kanadiaans, it reads:
Ich, [Name], schwöre, dass ich treu sein und an Seine Majestät, König Herman von Magnar, dritte Seines Names, König von Kandanadium und ihre Abhängigkeiten, und Seine Erben und Nachfolger, wahre Treue tragen werde. So hilfe ich Gott / So hilfe ich Götter.
In Caskaans, it reads:
Ek, [naam], sweer dat ek getrou sal wees en Sy Majesteit, Koning Herman van Magnar, derde van Sy naam, Koning van Kandanaadium en haar afhanklikhede, en Sy erfgename en opvolgers getrou sal wees. So help my, my god / So help my, my Vrou van Caskhomir.
In Trefjalli, it reads:
Ég, [nafn] sver ađ ég mun vera tryggur og trúr hátign hans, Konungur Herman af Magnar, ţriđji í nafni hans, konungur í Kandáland og háđir ţeirra, og erfingjar hans og eftirmenn. Megi Guđ hjálpa mér / Megi guđir hjálpa mér.
In Hautsing Mandarin, it reads:
我，（名），發誓，對赫爾曼ˇ馮ˇ瑪格納爾三氏，國王陛下，卡恩丹納王國及其依賴領地之王，忠誠守信，及對國王陛下的繼承人與繼任者忠誠守信。天助我也。
