Loranian Times #8

Written by your very own Seven Seas, and now becoming a weekly installment

Armageddon Won

In this years N-day the nations of Lorania were fortunate enough to end the day of nukes and fallout on the winning side. Skundi head scored for us a spot in ATOMIC as our faction. This was all well and good until ATOMIC got obliterated early off during N-day by The Horsemen of the Apocalypse. With the faction in shamble our N-day puppets were ushered to the Augustin Alliance to continue the fight against The Horsemen. At this point I awoke from my sleep (time zones, you know) and joined the Augustin Alliance with my N-day puppet. I then joined the discord server, and awaited orders. I stocked up on nukes with my fellow Loranians, and awaited the first strike against the Horsemen. The Horsemen were by far winning, with the most points and a many more nations than us. But never the less we continued to pummel their foul operatives with nukes made of liberty, freedom, and justice. By midday the tides were turning, I also realized I had a life so I decided to get off NS.

When I returned... the AA was in the lead, with The Horsemen retreated with bowed heads. Huzzah! How did we win? I suspect our attacks were more organized, and our leadership was in more control. Nevertheless, we all did our parts. A special thanks to Devionsa and Apathetic pigeons for helping me annihilate GU33. Overall, a successful first N-day for me and the region.

Ahhh, Election Time

Another 3 months is drawing to a close, but things are only ramping up. The past two Loranian elections have surely been interesting ones. The first, between myself and South ccanda saw heated debates, intervention from other regions, and much excitement. The second between Sail nation and Stolkland was less active, yet none less interesting. What will this election bring? Well Sail nation will be running again, most likely on the platform of onsite government, the Loranian you know and love, and keeping things pretty much the same. But now, like the Bolsheviks of Russia, OTCAP demands for power to the people! OTCAP is a new sort of political party taking shape in the region, O for Ogliacia, TC for Tiddles the cat, and AP for Apathetic pigeons. Ogliacia will be running or PM on the premise of more opportunities for citizens to get involved in legislation. And then there's me, will I be running? I can't say. I do have ideas for the region, but does the region like them? We'll see, if I run that is. Regardless, we are sure to see one of the greatest election the region has experienced.
