Totally not the Loranian Criminal Code, we swear :P

1. Categorisation of crimes: All crimes in Lorania shall be either a misdemeanor or a felony. No misdemeanor other than bribery shall be greater than a Level 1 offence on the sliding scale; bribery shall be a Level 2 offence on the sliding scale.

2. Sliding scale of offences: All offences shall be placed on an eight-level sliding scale, where:

   1. an offence on Level 1 thereof shall be punished by no greater than a two-week ban from posting on Lorania's Regional Message Board ("the RMB"),

   2. an offence at Level 2 thereof shall be punished by no greater than a two-week ban from Lorania,

   3. an offence at Level 3 thereof shall be punished by no greater than a one-month ban from Lorania,

   4. an offence at Level 4 thereof shall be punished by no lesser than a one-month ban, and no greater than a six-month ban, from Lorania,

   5. an offence at Level 5 thereof shall be punished by no lesser than a six-month ban from Lorania, with no maximum restrictions on ban length,

   6. the length of all bans issued at a given level for a particular case shall be determined by the regional court, and

   7. all bans delivered as part of a conviction for a Level 2, 3, 4, or 5 offence shall be bans from Lorania, the region.

3. Misdemeanors:

   1. Bribery shall be defined as illegally offering any person anything of value in exchange for that person carrying out an action relating to NationStates; it shall be a Level 2 offence.

   2. Libel shall be defined as defaming another person; it shall be a Level 1 offence.

   3. Perjury shall be defined as lying or falsifying evidence in a Loranian court; it shall be a Level 1 offence.

   4. Second-degree spamming shall be defined as submitting between five and twenty posts in short succession; it shall be a Level 1 offence.

4. Felonies:

   1. Abuse of power means abuse of power as defined in the Constitution; it shall ordinarily be a Level 4 offence, although may be treated as a Level 5 offence at the Regional Court's pleasure.

   2. Treason means treason as defined in the Constitution, and shall include wilfully attempting to illegally remove from office (or in fact illegally removing from office) the Prime Minister, Founder, or WA Delegate; it shall be a Level 5 offence.

   3. Second-degree ban evasion means attempting to get around an RMB ban through any means; it shall ordinarily be a Level 4 offence, although may be treated as a Level 5 offence at the Regional Court's pleasure.

   4. First-degree ban evasion means attempting to get around a ban from the region of Lorania through any means; it shall be a Level 5 offence, with the Chief Justice required to hand down a permanent ban from Lorania upon conviction, and may only be appealed once.

   5. Doxxing shall be defined as uploading the personal information of any person other than oneself without that person's permission; it shall be a Level 5 offence.

   6. Extortion shall be defined as threatening another person with the intention of obtaining any information from that person; it shall be a Level 3 offence.

   7. Flaming shall be defined as attacking another person outside of the House of Commons with the intention of making that person evidently angry; it shall be a Level 3 offence.

   8. First-degree spamming shall be defined as submitting over twenty posts in short succession; it shall be a Level 3 offence.

5. Short title: This act may be referred to as the Loranian Criminal Code.
