Once upon a time, ponies existing without an alicorn leading them was an absurdity, something unimaginable. For millennia ponies were guided by these immortal beings, paragons of harmony that everyone worshipped. Everyone thought they were gods. And these gods led ponies through absurdities and ages as they developed as a species. Once almost wiped out by other alicorns who despised the creation of mortal ponies. Those who tolerated the mortal equines were still arrogant in their ways, treated them like pawns on a board, a means and not a ends.


As the clock ticked into the 11th Century, it became clear that these alicorns weren't gods, but arrogant autocrats. They didn't know how to rule as much as the mortals did. The illusion these alicorns held soon began to crack as conflicts among them grew, and the common pony suffered under their jackboots. It's quite clear that the system the alicorns ruled over was an unjust one, and it had to be torn down if the common ponies were to be liberated. Few tried, and failed. Some of the alicorns realised this and tried to tear it down too, giving the ponies a say in government. But the majority rejected such a notion.


Enter Preventus Phelps Eye, a bright little detective who had married a princess. Formerly living in the more harsh part of the system meant that he knew just how corrupt the system was. Utilising his wife's political power, attempts were made to reform the system. Attempts at stronger local governance and public reform were made, but the ever entrenched aristocracy that benefited from the system made sure that such attempts at reforms failed and eventually exiled him. But this little pony wasn't willing to roll over and die... even if he officially died at sea.


Being able to learn far away in the lands of MineLegotia and Equestria meant that Preventus learned of a different system to replace the system he was trying to fix. Harmonic Imperialism. So he did learn and tried to figure out how best to implement this new system. And soon it became clear to him. The total destruction of the old was needed, all aspects created by the corrupt alicorns had to be wiped away and replaced by a fully modern system which he had seen in MineLegotia and Equestria. A powerful state based on the law which decisions and verdicts were made; a nation-state in which loyalty to the state was found through historical notions and culture, and not through common loyalty to the monarch; a state in which the ruler existed with the consent of the people, and if disapproved of can be removed with ease. These notions of the MineLegoEquestrian state which was pluralistic and liberalising was something he seeked to copy within Equestria, going so far to call it "the only civilization". The only problem that remained, was that he wasn't in Equestria, and stuck in a universe away from it.


That was of course until multiversal travel was streamlined to allow proper movement, as the MineLegoEquestrian Empire made proper contacts with the Equestrians, Preventus had an opening in which he was able to begin exporting his thoughts into Equestria. This was accompanied by the entry of many modern MineLegoEquestrian ideas which entered Equestria, his ideas were received better purely because of his pre-exile status. Ponies knew of him, and knew of his attempts to fix Equestria. And as the MineLegoEquestrian forces advanced into Equestria during the Negotiation War, Preventus was there on the front lines leading his very own battalion, which was overwhelmed by the number of ponies coming to greet them as liberators from a system that they had realised were oppressing them.


The Great War which followed, saw the MineLegoEquestrian flag fly over Nieghpan, Equestria, Badlands, Firelands, Cloud Kingdom, and even so far to the lands of Mareish, and Stygian Cove. The Empire stood undisputed, having shattered the rule of the alicorns. Only Calavaria and Royal Snowland remained untouched, as they had sided with Preventus, a friend of both nation's leaders and were once the outcasts of the greater alicorn community. And thus from this, the MineLegoEquestrian Organised Cooperative United Nation, or Mleocun, was formed. With Preventus appointed as kolonialjenderal.


Even as the Empire went through the Great Multiversal War, in which a majority of Mleocun was occupied by foreign powers in the war, Preventus' policies and ideas managed to seep into the populace. A more democratic tradition in conjunction with a more independent culture was set in within the 30 years he had before most of it was stuck under the boot of the returning alicorns. And since the thousand years of the end of the war, these traditions have continued to grow within the states of Mleocun. God, liberty, nation, law, and discipline are seen as the principles in which harmony should stand on. And with it, a tradition of fierce defiance against the disharmonic forces have resulted in Mleocun intervening in various conflicts across the multiverse, after all...
