Thanks to the newly discovered worldgate system, Mars was opened for colonisation, and the citizens of Red Dome flocked to the new world. In general agreement about political matters at the outset, they must now build a functioning society from scratch. Edible money and a national animal that forms part of their staple diet will probably help.
