The Fifteen Tenets
The Fifteen Tenets, also known simply as the Tenets, are a set of holy principles relating to ethics and worship that play a fundamental role in Wolfism.

Scholars disagree about when the Fifteen Tets were written and by whom, with some modern scholars suggesting that the Fifteen Tenets were likely modeled on Vedigothic and Nordic laws and treaties. According to the book of Genesis in the Fyr, the Tenets were revealed to Kly the Visionary at Mount Ydrivem.

"So I, the Great Wolf, the Host of Hosts, General of the Holy Legions, proclaim the following..

I. Thou shalt not be a snowflake,
II. Crab apples are neither crab, nor proper apple.
III. Tigers are inferior to wolves.
IV. Thou shalt not consume cantaloupe except on a Thursday afternoon.
V. Haram creatures include snails, turtles, tortoises, and armadillos.

The Prince-bishop canonizing the Tenets, nearly 2500 years later.

VI. Whilst bathing in a mikvah, one may not disturb the peace,
VII. Whilst bathing in communal mikvah, it is appropriate to shriek in the prescribed manner.
VIII. Wigs are symbols of the devil and wearing one is haram.
IX. It is expected to be barefoot in ones home; however the homeowner must provide slippers for guests.
X. One must make pilgrimage to the Holy Lands using only a bag of dragonfly wings and a small sack of herbs as sustenance to be considered holy.
XI. The Emperor is the highest earthly power.
XII. Eleven is the number of goodness, while forty-two is the number of evil!
XIII. The Wolf is a hunter, a warrior, a friend, and family combined. If you are part of The Wolf Clan, act accordingly.
XIV. The epic and royal cheese of The Wolf Clan is Manchego. This may never be repudiated or challenged.
XV. Punishment for violation of my tenets shall be by regional poll or immediate public stoning.

And thus it is written, so mote it be."

Again, the aforementioned Fifteen Tenets are a description of the basic freedom from sin and wrongdoing that is necessary to live as a Wolfist.

They are a minimum level of living, below which we must not go.

The Fifteen Tenets along with Old and Reformed Wolfism have been bound together since the time of the Great Wolf.

It’s important to note that each Tenet is simply a summary of a whole category of actions. Don’t be legalistic, searching for a way around them because their wording doesn’t fit you perfectly!

    • For example, “whilst bathing in a mikvah, one may not disturb the peace” covers any kind of public disturbance: perjury, lying, slander, detraction, rash judgment, etc.

    • The Fifteen Tenets are linked together to form a coherent whole. If you break one of them, you’re guilty of breaking all of them.

The Tenets express man’s fundamental duties to the Great Wolf and neighbor. As such, they represent grave obligations. To violate them knowingly & willingly in a significant way is to commit mortal sin.

The Fyr

    The Genesis Era

      In the beginning,
There was only the Wolf. He bounded ever tirelessly through the empty void. The Wolf was constantly consumed and fascinated by this void, he had always wanted to see where it led, and where the end lay. However, The Wolf grew tired of this eventually. He longed for a sense of accomplishment, a feeling of triumph.
The Wolf thought to himself, and decided that what he wanted to do, was to chase another wolf. He wanted to see another of his kind that he could develop kinship with.
And So he created a creature in his own image simply by willing it into existence,Much to his chagrin, However, the new creature had a horrible problem with remaining upright in the void, it was as if he could not seem to gain a grip on the celestial floor to bound in the way that The Great Wolf did. So, The Great Wolf willed into existence, a solid ground for the new creature to gain grip upon so that he may give chase.
Once the new creature had settled upon the land, The Great Wolf descended. He observed the barren landscape surrounding himself and his counterpart and decided that more was needed to make the land an enjoyable area to play.
The Great Wolf created the sun, to light the way during the day, The Moon, to guide him and his new creature through the night, The Grass, for himself and his counterpart to wallow in and The Oceans for when the wolves became thirsty.
The Great Wolf, Now focused on creation, allowing his mind to wander farther from the means of attaining a playmate, developed an itch from the grass, he solved this by willing the mountains into existence so that he may rub against them to relieve himself.
Sooner than later, there was a problem, whereas The Great Wolf did not need sustenance to survive due to his divinity, his counterpart soon grew hungry.
The Great Wolf toiled for eight nights to create the perfect solution to the problem, allowing his playful instincts to address themselves, he willed into existence the first sheep, so that his counterpart may enjoy a chase as well as a meal. The Great Wolf continued to will similar creatures and terrain into existence in the name of creating the perfect hunting ground.

Soon thereafter, His counterpart became depressed. He was beginning to become lonesome despite the gifts that The Great Wolf had presented him with.
The Great Wolf, feeling pity for his counterpart, created a mate. He did this only after asking his counterpart to specify details he sought in a mate.
Once the Great Wolf had completed, his counterpart and his new mate bounded happily in the newly created meadows.

The Great Wolf declared the Female to be Fae and the Male to be Fyr. For them he created a large cave to live in and a lush forest teeming with other animals to hunt and various foods to eat. The Great Wolf gave free reign to his new subjects, and allowed them to use the land however they pleased. However the Great Wolf did reserve one condition, The mates were not to create more life with the gifts they had been given, for The Great Wolf declared it was not
necessary as they would live and be taken care of forever.

One sun, while in the meadow on a hunt, Fyr and Fae observed two sheep from the main flock mating, curious, the wolves pondered on what it would feel like and became tempted by the deeds of the sheep.
Temptation turned to guilty action, and Fyr and Fae mated, breaking the condition of The Great Wolf. When the pup was presented to The Great Wolf, out of anger he sent the pup far north, where he would be separated from the wolves for all eternity and as punishment the wolves were to live knowing that they could never see their child again.

Fyr and Fae continued to mate regardless, and soon overwhelmed The Great Wolf with newborn pups. The Great Wolf drafted a new punishment, he would create the ultimate hunter, with all of the abilities needed to hunt and kill any animal. He would make the wolves live in fear in return for their openly defiant actions. And thus, the FIrst Man was created, carved from the rocks of the mountains themselves.
The Great Wolf gave his creation a name, He declared the man to be Uri. He granted Uri the ability of thought, growth and innovation. For weeks he trained tirelessly with Uri, shaping him into the hunter that the Wolf intended him to be.

When Fyr and Fae became aware of the problem, the mates sent their pups away to be safe from the likes of the hunter. Two were sent north to find their outcast brother, and the other three were sent far west to live in secret.

The end of the Genesis era is marked by the day that the hunter slayed Fae and Fyr, The First Sunday of June.

    Era of Tragedy

The Great Wolf was not pleased.
His own creations, Fae and Fyr had turned coat, and fell victim to temptation despite the gifts that were given to them. The Great Wolf decided that the planet, which he referred to as Terr, Was not meant to be ruled by only those in his image, and decided that there would need to be a third party force to keep nature in balance and to keep the wolves from overpopulating, This and he decided that the pups which had escaped the wrath of his hunter needed to be captured. He believed that fruit from a tainted tree produced in turn the sourest of seeds, and worried that the pups would lead to overpopulation of the wolves.

The Great Wolf came up with a solution, he would create a mate for the hunter, so that he may breed his own species with limits set by the Wolf to assist in hunting the pups.
So, The Great Wolf bit into the ocean, and held water in his muzzle. He willed the water to take a feminine form of Uri, which he would name Ghe. He spat the water upon the land and it took the form of a female human. The Great Wolf dedicated the very tip of his own tail to clothe Ghe.
Once the hunter returned from his bountiful trek of the day carrying on his shoulders a slain goat, The Great Wolf Presented to him Ghe, the most beautiful of his creations.

Uri and Ghe soon mated, and produced three offspring. Kly, Uli, and Leun. All of which were male. The Great Wolf himself enhanced their senses beyond that of their parents and sped their growth by a tremendous amount. Within seventeen suns, the boys were men. The Great Wolf willed Uri to train his sons in the art of hunting, and so he did. Once the three men were trained they each received a cloak from the Great Wolf made from patches of his own fur, of course, the fur he ripped out would return due to his divine powers.

Uri, taking his bidding directly from the Great Wolf. dispatched his sons to find the wolf pups which were produced by the weak minded Fae and Fyr. To the North, he sent Kly, the strongest of the three. Kly wielded a spear that was blessed by the Great Wolf. The Spear could pierce the rocks of the mountains, and reach unimaginable distances with little effort. To the West, Uri sent Uli and Leun. Uli wielded a bow, a hunter’s weapon which the Great Wolf had charmed to allow the arrows to return to it’s quill once killing the target which it was fired at. Leun wielded no weapon, instead he used his cloak as camouflage. To assist him, The Great Wolf willed the cloak to change it’s appearance based on the terrain that it’s user was hunting in.

Once the hunters were dispatched The Great Wolf delivered a decree to Uri and Ghe. Uri was to mate with another female which the Great Wolf would create in order to produce female offspring capable of bearing children. Uri, was willing and accepted the task that The Great Wolf had given him. However, Ghe grew jealous.

Ghe waited until after The Great Wolf was finished to confront Uri. She pulled him aside and explained that she thought the Great Wolf was wrong, and that an individual should remain loyal to only one mate. However Uri pushed her aside, and declared that he would follow through with the Great Wolf’s plan. This angered Ghe, but she wore a respectful expression.

When the moon was High, Ghe murdered Uri in his sleep, a sin violating the most basic of principles and destroying a creation of the Great Wolf. When the Great Wolf discovered the atrocity which had occurred, he swallowed Ghe whole and decreed that he would never create a being in her image again. Little to his knowledge, Ghe was with child again.

Many suns later Winter covered the forest that the Great Wolf had created for Fae and Fyr. The Great Wolf entered a deep sleep, intent to wait for the return of the hunters to tell them of the tragedy that occurred in their absence. The Great Wolf slept soundly, even as Ghe was giving birth to her twin daughters in his stomach. As he slept in his mighty sleep, Ghe crept up his throat and exited his muzzle only after cutting herself on one of his massive teeth, leaving a scar on her arm. Ghe took her children, and fled north, thus unleashing many eras of evil and suffering upon Terr.

    New Wolfist Church - Hierarchy

The Wolfist Church has existed since 2500 BCE, and has been the primary and dominant religion of many regions since the 12th and 13th centuries.

Only recently has the New Wolfist Church been integrated into state once more, due to its reformation in early 2021 and formal recognition by His Imperial Highness a year later. There are several members that lead the Church, acting as The Wolf Clan's spiritual advisors and religious counsel.
