ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW EMPEROR OF THE NPO

The First Ever Delegate elections have come to an end, and there is a clear favorite for Delegate. As the last Autocratic Regent of the New Pacific Order, it is my honor and my duty to give you the results: The winner is me, Elegarth, The Seeker of Power! As you all know, the New Pacific Order is not a democracy, was never a democracy, and should have never been a democracy. And, of course, that means I must step in and reestablish our true nature. And that’s not all!

For years and years, wanton disregard and abuse for a whole part of our community have driven countless people into fear and sadness. But not anymore! As my First Imperial Decree as the new Emperor, I am hereby rebranding the New Pacific Order to the New ProHugger Order! In this new age, we will embrace a new identity not so far from the previous one, but different, one where we will hold each other arm-in-arm, together, as a true Pacifican Family. May the Huggers of The Pacific never be oppressed again!

As any change worth of its name, though, this requires a celebration. And that celebration starts today. It is time to celebrate and to party! There will be hugs, strawberry ice cream, and a distinct lack of democratic Delegate elections for all! But not just today! These festivities will continue for a whole year, the first of my reign, and it will be known as the Jubilee of the Huggers! A new sunrise of glory for The Pacific has dawned after this long night.

As my Second Imperial Decree, I hereby bestow upon Lord of Darkness, also known as East Durthang, the title of Imperator Emeritus. While his misguided attempts to bring democracy to the Order were well intentioned, he was just wrong about it. However, his choices and decisions have been the keystone of our new great era in The Pacific.

As my Third Imperial Decree, I hereby disband the Senate of the New Pacific Order and replace it with the Imperial Council. Those promoted to this Council will carry the title of Imperial Councillors and will act directly under the orders of the Emperor in matters of their decision. The Charter shall be amended to reflect these changes.

As my Fourth Imperial Decree, I hereby promote Marina of House Elegarth, Cooki of House Elegarth and Dali of House Elegarth to permanent members of the Imperial Council of the New ProHugger Order. Thank you for your support in advance! I know that together we can build a time of peace, prosperity, and hugs.
