The northern city of Ampaka is nearly surrounded by syndicalists rebels as the surround the western, northern, and eastern access routes to the city center, and the military is struggling to hold on, despite the help from several squadrons of helicopters, air and artillery strikes, as the city center itself is frequently hit by precision mortar attacks on government and military buildings by groups of syndicalist volunteers.

A military expert from New acardia was interviewed by us and he stated that the Rosmanen military underestimated the syndicalist rebels, that they should put more boots on the ground, and that they should recruit from the people freed from the labor camps, who where put there by the former anarchist government, and they where still there when our forces moved in.

Though the current syndicalist leader Joseph Reed stated he ordered the camps closed, and that they where run by elements of the former government.

The syndicalist rebels have a habit of striking key government targets and supply convoys with small groups of elite forces, which vanish into the forest before they send in massive numbers of fanatical, heavily armed militants, and so far we have not been able to stop this advance, though we hope the reservists and the paramilitary brigades will soon change this, as they carry out repeated air raids to cut of the enemy supply lines.
