Arcadian Military Hardware - Vehicles, Ships, Emplacements

━ Official Guide to Land Vehicles ━

All low- or unarmored vehicle in this list have adjustable automatic braking systems and controlled stops. The instrumentation packages available to them include GPS, navigational assistance, emergency beaconing, and dataports. All additional equipment, such as smart-links and GUIs, needed to operate higher-dependency vehicles are utilized into them. All vehicles use varying levels of ceramic-Titanium armor panels.

━ Armored Vehicles ━

[Light Tanks]

  • M1HA Light Tank - "Hail"
    - Developed by Alta Industries

This tank is used for skirmishing enemy lines, and it has a surprisingly deadly history of such. The primary gun is an M512 smoothbore, while the machine gun is an M247T. The ceramic-Titanium is thin on these tanks.

  • M17 Modular Light Strike Tank - "Striker"
    - Developed by Alta Industries

It seems like the utility tank of mainline tanks, as it is multi-role. It can take on sniping and even anti-air tasks, though the main loadout is consistent with other light tanks.

  • M175 Light Strike Tank - "Interim"
    - Developed by Korolev Heavy Industries

The idea of the M175 is to harass the enemy, hence the tank's intervening nickname, while heavier tanks move forward. This is also complemented by its speed. Its armor is made of thin ceramic-Titanium, its main gun is a 100mm smoothbore cannon, and an M247T is found on the top.

  • MR-10 Light Tank - "Gargoyle"
    - Developed by Korolev Heavy Industries

MR-10s are a relatively new development, with the job of rolling silently with reconnaissance vehicles. It is generally preferred by intelligence agents during field operations when heavier firepower is required. It also has a 100mm smoothbore, though containing the M247T machine gun next to it.

[Medium Tanks]

  • M2HA Battle Tank - "Challenger"
    - Developed by Korolev Heavy Industries

The Challenger definitely compromises between light and heavy tanks. It is one of the most successful Arcadian tanks and is the best of the 2 medium tanks in service. Armor panelling on it is, on paper, the same as an M98, but some say otherwise. For a main gun, the M512 in 100mm is used, while an M247T machine gun is used as a secondary.

  • M98 Battle Tank - "McCormmick"
    - Developed by Ohana Prescient Systems

While lacking compared to its brother, these tanks are produced in higher numbers, therefore being more prevalent in the field. It makes up for its somewhat lesser reputation with speed. Loadout-wise, it is similar to the other tank of its class. It also sees more use in urban environments.

[Heavy Tanks]

  • TL-60A Kielce Amphibious - "Rhino"
    - Developed by Ohana Prescient Systems

This is the all-terrain battle tank, being able to extend treads over its wheels when needed - it is also amphibious, though its travel over water is slow. For weaponry, its main gun is an M310 120mm, with its secondary being an M231.

  • SP42 Hybrid Rail-Tank - "Icebox"
    - Jointly developed by Ohana Prescient Systems & Lethbridge Industrial

This treaded tank is known as the Icebox due to its gun's below-freezing cartridge. Unlike the Hellfire, it has an M231 machine gun mounted on the hull.

  • MEB-2115 Rail-Tank - "Hellfire"
    - Jointly developed by Ohana Prescient Systems & Lethbridge Industrial

The first rail-tank to be made has been in use by Arcadia for over a century, finding its origins within the Indian Army, with only minor details changed to refine its design. It sports a Mk. 10 Ballista as its main gun and reigns true to its nickname.

[Main Battle Tanks]

  • M808C Main Battle Tank - "Arachnid"
    - Developed by Ohana Prescient Systems

A first in modern tank design, this main battle tank features 4 independently-suspended track bogies as well as a heavy resistance to plasma weaponry due to its Yttria-Alumina and ceramic-Titanium weave. Additionally, turret rotation reaches 85 degrees. For a main gun, it features an M310 120mm, in contrast to its turret-mounted M247 and roof-mounted AIE-486H.

  • M850B Main Battle Tank - "Grizzly"
    - Developed by Alta Industries

The only tank to sport an M990 150mm is also really good at pushing over and climbing obstacles. It is the heaviest tank in service, with the T58 Apex Harvester being the largest and heaviest armored vehicle. Aside from its main gun and M231s, it has 2 M5920 missile launchers attached to its roof, giving it exceptional firepower. Tread configuration is close to the Arachnid's, but the bogies are connected.

[Infantry Fighting Vehicles]

  • M490 Anti-Infantry Vehicle - "Knight"

For a main cannon, an M68 AL-IC is mounted on the rotating turret. An M231 machine gun is mounted on the roof for a gunner to utilize. It is similar to the M17 Striker since it can take on sniping roles. The design is reminiscent of the MR-10.

  • MT350 Troop Engagement Vehicle - "Brusher"

The Brusher gets its nickname for being able to clear out brush-entrenched infantry with tear gas and a KG-34 Mk. 1.

  • 87T Light Assault Vehicle - "Foxfly"

Foxflies are light IFVs that are meant to fight alongside tanks rather than perform any specific duty. They are mostly found escorting light and medium tanks. It has several weapons, those being a Mk. 15B MITV for a main weapon and an M655 HMG for its secondary.

[Armored Personnel Carriers]

  • M650 APC - "Mastodon"

The Mastodon is named for the animal of the same name due to its ability to trample obstacles with its large size. Unlike the real mastodon, it has no means of defense, so it travels only under peaceful conditions or with convoys. This is in direct contrast to its quarry, which is heavily-armed troopers. To make up for it, it serves as a communications vehicle. APCs are generally reserved for outer and undeveloped territories.

  • M652 APC - "Lyoladi"

The armed variant of the Mastodon, the Lyoladi is named for the Procyon system's asteroid belt. It has several gun ports for infantry to shoot out of and a roof-mounted M247T. Its V-hull provides a better defense for this.

[Armored Combat Utility & Support]

  • RTE-2 Tactical Breacher - "Corona"

The RTE-2 is a combat utility vehicle aimed at breaching enemy lines and tree lines and allowing friendly forces to infiltrate. It destroys minor defenses with a plow that doubles as a mine plower, and mines can be destroyed via line charges. No weaponry except for a single M655 HMG is found on it.

  • RTE-5 Ground-Atmospheric Support Vehicle - "Vortex"

In conjunction with the STE-5 Seeder, the Vortex provides support for weather control and such. It creates a link to the ground for the STE-5, allowing for a dual-approach to weather control, such as electron excitement or dust storms. It can also produce mini-earthquakes. Both vehicles launch the V2 Eco-Reclamation Unit.

  • M11A Fire Support Vehicle - "Debtor"

Ironically, the Debtor is the one collecting the debt in this case. It provides firing support for approaching infantry lines and clusters, sometimes giving rides. Its armament consists of a LAU-60S and an M343A2 chaingun as side-weapons, while its main weapon is a Mk. 15B MITV pod.

  • Helios Mobile Support Gun

The Helios is a mobile weapons platform with an articulating weapons/maneuverability system above adjustable robotic legs, on the end of which being wheels. It is well-armored, including its movement areas, containing armor plating equal to that of a heavy tank. The vehicle's pilot sits directly in the center-top and controls the pivots and weapons. Despite its ability, the Helios is not made to stand by itself in a combat situation, so its main focus is to support other armored vehicles and infantry assaults. An SBHV M512 and an M68 AL-IC form its weapon system.

[Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles]

  • PR11-T MRAP - "Enforcer"
    - Developed by HVY Corporation

The Enforcer is a category I, V-hull MRAP designed for urban environments. Like any MRAP, it transports infantry while protecting them from mines. Being lighter than the Thorn, the Enforcer is relatively fast, though it is heavy, which complements its use in urbanized regions.

  • LIM-50 MRAP - "Thorn"
    - Jointly developed by HVY Corporation & Korolev Heavy Industries

Unlike its brother, the Thorn supports convoys, serves as a makeshift field ambulance when not in the presence of an M831, and transports combat engineers and EOD troops. It is good for use on rugged, low-development roads and offroad terrain.

[Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense]

  • M11B Fire Support CBRN - "Arrow"
    - Developed by HVY Corporation

Built off of the Debtor's frame, the Arrow provides transit for troops through radiation(or otherwise)-infested areas. This is the armed variant, and it carries over the Debtor's armament. The other main difference is its increased space and thicker hull.

  • N-95E Reconnaissance CBRN - "Acetyl"
    - Developed by HVY Corporation

The Acetyl is generally reserved for transport of scientists and cleanup crews through the previously-mentioned environment. It works in conjunction with the V 2-D variant of the Mk. 5 ES Cyclops.

[Light IFV, APC, AA & Fast Attack]

  • M121 Light Strike Vehicle - "Jackrabbit"

The M121 is a light IFV, generally used for fast assaults on rural and overgrown roads. A common motto for Jackrabbit crews is "hunting and gathering", giving this vehicle its nickname. It is also heavily used in underdeveloped regions to cut down on economical impact from heavier maintenance. It has a small troop bay and an enclosed driver's seat, the windscreen being small and slitted sectionals. It has an M247T machine gun for a passenger gunner and an M343A2 main gun.

  • M2202 LAV-ATAA - "Grub"

This is an 8-wheeled amphibious vehicle used for a combination of anti-personnel, anti-tank, and anti-air roles. It has decent mobility, though this is lessened in watery environments. The Grub entered service in 2224 in response to a small guerilla epidemic in the jungles of Arcadia. For its main and side roles of being an IFV and AA platform, it sports a dual M41 turret system and X23 EMP cannon as its main guns and an M247T for a side gun. As for otherwise, a LAU-60S mortar and an M5920 missile launcher serve the anti-tank role.

  • M12B Fast Attack Vehicle - "Warthog"
    - Jointly developed by AMG Transport Dynamics & HVY Corporation

The combat variant of the M12 series of pickup trucks, several anti-personnel and anti-vehicle weapons can be put in the bed. Its versatility gives it an edge over armored vehicles. An armored cab covers the mid-section for this variant as well.

[Utility Vehicles]

  • M431 Mobile Electronic Warfare Vehicle - "Cyber Swirl"

The M431 is a vehicle specializing in electronic warfare, such as SPDR electronic infiltration and jamming radar and communications systems. • MS6D Defoliant Projector - "Wildfire"
    - Jointly developed by Lethbridge Industrial & HVY Corporation

Despite being equipped with the M7057 NA/4 Flamethrower, the Wildfire doesn't actually start wildfires; Instead, they aim to flush out infantry hiding in brush areas. Their other purpose is to perform controlled brush removals.

  • M4 Command Vehicle - "Splinter"

Based off of the Foxfly platform, the M4 is an armored command vehicle that provides means to send/receive communications, analyze and transmit data, and control field operations and combat. 4 axles and many antennas are found on it, while command and control equipment litters the interior with a little room for equipment.

[Transit Vehicles]

  • M750 Troop Transport Vehicle - "Guta"
    - Developed by Ohana Prescient Systems

Despite being nicknamed the Guta, it has no correlation with the transgenic creature. The M750 is a 3-axle transporter, capable of transporting several fireteams at a 15-passenger capacity, although this includes the front passenger seat. The bed of the truck containing the troops has raised armor paneling covered by combat webbing. A small half-covering hatch is hinged onto the very rear of the truck containing an unfolding M247T machine gun, and another hatch is placed on the bed's floor. Slitted metal sheeting covers the windscreen, and a bullbar reinforces the front.

Acceleration is great, and the truck's terrific handling keeps its quarry steady.

  • M12 Light Reconnaissance Pickup - "Warthog"
    - Jointly developed by AMG Transport Dynamics & HVY Corporation

As referenced by a trooper in the field, "It's sort of a bear to wheel around, being twice the size of my granddad's car, but you get used to it." The pickup can be speedy, allowing it to quickly perform logistics duties and transport food, fuel, and cargo. Additionally, it is all-wheel drive, all-terrain, all-weather capable, including superb traction, enhanced suspension, and quick-turning [though this may cause a rollover]. For fuel, it consumes regular petroleum, but Nanoreagent Hydrocarbots can turn carbon-heavy matter into usable fuel. A bright lightbar is mounted above the windscreen frame.

  • M831 Troop Transport Vehicle - "Troop Hog"
    - Jointly developed by AMG Transport Dynamics & HVY Corporation

The M831 is the troop transport variation of the M12 FAV, though instead of a square truck bed, it is made rectangular with a roll cage and light fixture, equipment/ammo cases, and benches built on top of it. 2 fold-out M655s are mounted onto the back of the cage where the entrance is.

  • M831B Field Ambulance - "Hospital-Hog"
    - Jointly developed by AMG Transport Dynamics & HVY Corporation

In the field, it is referred to as the 31B due to its lengthy name. The only difference it has from the Troop Hog is the lack of weapons, replacement of bed seats with low cots, and the sidewalls of the roll cage being built up more.

  • MHC1500 Transport Truck - "Prospector"
    - Developed by Traxus Heavy Industries

The Prospector is the militarized variant of the civilian HC1500. It is powered by several bio-cells. Acceleration is poor, and its cargo hold does not have enough room for combat situations, leading to its replacement by the Brickade. These models are now reserved for use on home-side bases.

  • Echo-Wing Lithium Gunfighter

Rather than diverting this lithium to thermonuclear weapons, it is instead incorporated into a small rotating autocannon that fires silver-white lithium rounds with steel-trimmed casings. Upon impact, the ballistics cause lithium toxicity, inducing the victim into tremors and motor troubles, as well as an altered conscious state. The Echo-Wing hosts the autocannon, and the drone can be found in most government buildings.

  • 80-X - "Boxguard"

A quadrupedal attack robot that unfolds from a cube and is rated for use by the military and police, where the police variant has tear gas launchers and stun rounds while the militarized variant has 2 M655 machine guns and a Mk. 15B MITV pod. It is generally used for infrastructure defense rather than offense due to its locomotion similar to a gorilla's. A small radioisotope thermoelectric generator powers the bot, which causes it to activate by leaning forward and unfolding its rear legs and armor plates, then leaning forward to unfold the head and forelegs - Finally, its defenses spring online and raise up over the head.

  • Page Delta-7 - "Peacebringer"

A bipedal, heavily-armored attack robot around the size of a human utilizing dual 7.62x51mm turrets and 2 M68 AL-ICs. Mass production was once an option, but this bot no longer serves in the field and has been mostly reserved to civilian and security protection duties.

2 articulated legs below the canopy allow the sentinel-like walker to move. 3 sets of appendages line the sides, similar to a forklift, articulated flashlight/laser and saw, and 2 extra arms respectively. A stabilizer in the legs keeps the walker from toppling over due to a heavy load, though this can only reach a certain weight capacity.

[Utility]

  • NOWELL-GRENDEL Mk. 5 ES - "Cyclops"

The Cyclops is a bipedal, powered exoskeleton based off of Project: CHRYSANTHEMUM. They were originally tailored for use in damage control and defense, though quickly branching out into other roles, such as mining, terraforming, and dock work. However, use in dock work was phased out in favor of hazard containment. At a point, combat use fell but was revitalized in 2232. Since that year, industries have also targeted the civilian market and looked for armor innovation. Control software for the machine is similar to the Mk. 9 Mantis, though the Mantis is utilized for field assaults instead of defense. It has 2 appendages on either side of the enclosed canopy, sporting hand-like gauntlets that can crush living organisms with ease. As for agility, the Cyclops is surprisingly fast and can jump.

    Variants:

    • V 2-A "Protector" // Protectors are utilized by emergency teams in high-threat missions, as well as by civilian fire-rescue. Firefighters and medical response marine teams are seen operating these in situations where larger vehicles cannot operate. A large fire-retardant tank is connected to a high-pressure cannon on the right appendage, while a high-torque, 2-pronged gripping arm is fitted onto the left appendage for ripping apart materials, such as vehicles and walls.

    • V 2-A1 "Damage Controller" // This variant is similar to the Protector, but is used in starship environments.

    • V 2-B "Breaker" // These are used in ship-breaking yards and construction, equipped with special tools such as high-power plasma cutters, hydraulic rams, variable grabbers, and assorted saws. Excavation is another of its tasks.

The 6th ship in the QCR line, the Outcast outperforms the Puma in speed. Updated equipment is packed into most of these, though some that still patrol with the Pumas lack the most recent editions.

  • S-2 Observation Ship - "Solicitor"

A derivative of a earlier variant of the S-14 Silver Girl, the S-2 has been retired from any military duties as of 2235 and applied to a reconnaissance role. It has the most up-to-date equipment, despite being an older ship. It is also completely unarmed.

[Stealth Insertion Craft]

  • M9287 Single-Occupant Exoatmospheric Owl Insertion Pod

The M9287 is a simple lead foil-covered Titanium-A shell with a stealth ablative application to refract sensors and radar during the drop sequence, including a texture buffer to block all visual of it until within a certain range of the pod. However, these coverings must be perfectly maintained to keep up signal refraction. They are launched from starships to assist Owl Troopers in their landing duties from high orbit to a surface. Upon entering an atmospere, brakes are applied just short of impact in the way of a small chute and thrusters. The pods are often aimed behind enemy lines or near an objective, and their small profile renders them difficult to destroy, though this also means that it is a cramped space.

  • ST/R Mk. F - "Intrepid"

The Intrepid is a special operations spacecraft for use by special forces to insert into a low- to medium-threat environment undetected. The ship is easier to detect than the Insertion Pod, though the pod is hard to maneuver until trajectory is changed. It has the capacity to carry 20 fully-equipped troopers to their destination.

[S&R & Evacuation]

  • EV-44 CS&R - "Nightingale"

The Nightingale is an armed, twin-engine search and rescue craft. It is the main evacuation craft of the Arcadian military, as the ITAC is only a makeshift evacuation vehicle. 2 pilots and a lift medic reside in the cockpit, while 4 cots and 2 more medics are stationed in the infirmary bay among life-saving equipment.

[Military Logistics & Transit]

  • D20 Heavy Lifter Mk. D - "Heron"

  • DA-195 Gunship - "Harrier"

A large craft with a blended wing body, the gunship performs close air support in-atmosphere and defends installations from afar in space, usually against larger forces. It is armed with 2 long-range M3063 Anti-Tank lasers, 4 ANVIL-IV anti-ship missile systems, a long-range M370 autocannon, and a 150mm HE cannon. It requires quite a few highly-skilled gunners.

  • DA-440 Gunship - "Vulture"

Opposite its predecessor, the Vulture is not overly large and is similar in size to a Pelican. It is the preferred combat vehicle for gunruns and tactical strikes, especially against fortified defenses. Due to its armaments, the ship is often referred to as a "flying tank". Armaments include 2 A-74 Sylver Missile Launchers on the dorsal rear, 2 ANVIL-II missile systems, 4 GAU-23/AW/Linkless Feed autocannons, and a single Phoenix Heavy-Entrencher Tactical Missile. The ANVIL and A-74 systems allow for a unified barrage. The pilot and 2 gunners control all armaments.

  • TAV-144 Attack VTOL - "Hornet"

The Hornet is a small, twin-engined VTOL that is only rated for low-atmosphere action. It is usually found in cities, used by police forces and civilians (respective variants obviously), and in military bases, used by the Arcadian military. In the enclosed cockpit, there is room for only 1 pilot that controls all electronics, while in the rear section, the space is rather open above the landing skids and allows for 4 passengers. The twin engines are mounted on gimbals at the ends of the short wings, and the tail that tops the rear area ends with an elongated tail but short stabilizers. As for weaponry, 2 Class-2 Guided Munitions Launch Systems are built above and behind the cockpit where the wings start, and 2 S-T 80mm autocannons are nose-mounted.

  • Morpho A-451 - "Lupine"

The Lupine is a reference to Arcadia's untamed, unspoiled wilderness. A 2-layer rotor pair holds this helicopter up, and an electronic stabilizer rests at the end of the short tail. While in civilian hands, it serves as a medical transit craft. Its unarmed variant is used for training purposes, while its attack variant is used for counter-terror and counter-narcotics operations. A GAU-10/A heavy is mounted below the cockpit of 2 pilots, and an M5920 is mounted on each side's extended hardpoint.

Wasps are defense drones reserved for convoy defense and escort roles. They are also found alongside UR-22s. A small S-T 40mm chaingun is mounted onto the nose, while a dual swivel ANVIL Missile System with ANVIL-IIs is found on the belly. Inspiration is taken from UCAV Reaper drones.

  • XAV-48 Cryo Drone - "Frostraven"

Although a conjectural design, it pairs research and weaponized cryotech with an EV-44 frame. As the drone is new, it is still in an experimental stage, although it has recently been featured in combat roles where it operated successfully. An unnamed heavy cryo projector is put onto the underside of where the cockpit on an EV-44 would be. The cryo gun connects to a cryo-generation tank where the EV-44's personnel bay would be. 4 engines are built onto it, with 2 in the front and 2 on the rear.

  • Kamikaze Drone LMV - "Switchblade"

Developed for use by ground forces, the Switchblade unfolds like a switchblade from a tube inside of a backpack or rucksack and is launched into the air from any uncovered location by its launcher. It is designed to increase firepower for platoon-sized infantry units. The size unfortunately renders its endurance to about 15 minutes, marking it unsuitable for reconnaissance roles. A mounted explosive, usually with a charge equivalent to 40mm, is placed on the inside of the tubular cabin. Interception or even detection is impossible by radar and near-impossible by eyesight due to its size and lack of noise.

  • Page T5 - "Mako"

The Mako is a heavily-armed close air support VTOL, with air-cooled, vectored fusion thrusters giving it a high speed. It is especially used for night sorties alongside Army Special Forces teams. Additionally, unarmed variants are used for training and recon purposes.

  • 89-D1 Long Range - "Condor"

  • 100-5 Blended Wing Body - "Stork"

A BWB based off of the Harrier, the Stork is the largest air/spacelifter in the Arcadian military. It improves upon the Harrier, which is downscaled to avoid incoming fire, by enlarging the cargo bay to an extent larger than any other besides a starship. It is exoatmospheric, allowing it to travel between atmospheres. These can be found traveling between Arcadia, its colonies, and trade partners.

  • DOR Heavy Freighter - "Starling"

  • D96-DCSTE Mk. C - "Aegis"

The Aegis gets its name from the escort of the extreme versatility and importance of its cargo. The craft is semi-large and needs a somewhat extreme protection detail, so it is usually escorted by S77s and/or S-14s. It is the third non-starship craft to be able to enter slipspace on its own.

[Tactical Airlifters]

  • DCS 90 Light Transport - "Gradient"

[Close Air Support]

  • CASSAT M4 - "Gungnir"
    - note: satellite

The Gungnir is named for the massive destruction it leaves in its wake. Only 4 of these ever exist at a time, with 2 found in Arcadia's atmosphere. Built off of the idea of orbital kinetic weaponry, the satellite is a sizeable weapon that fires inert projectiles, though they are immensely strong and able to penetrate the ground. The projectile spreads out into a hex pattern once in the planetary atmosphere, causing widespread destruction, though it can also fire into space with the same idea and have a speed 3x as fast as atmospheric speed. Nano-thrusters are equipped onto the back of the tungsten rod connection system so speed is not lost, keeping it at about mach 11.

[Aerial Refuelling - Unmanned]

  • 57010-15 ARDD - "Sustainer"

Only slightly similar to the Longsword in the way of the rear-facing boom apparatus, the refueler can provide fuel to 2 ships/aircraft at a time. It is taken into battles to refuel aerospace craft so they do not have to return to starships. Nanites assist in connecting the fuel hoses, starting the fuel process.

  • CM503 Stratotanker - "Widget"

Essentially the Sustainer but only operable in-atmosphere and less expensive to operate, the Widget can refuel only 1 regular aircraft or spacecraft at a time. However, it can also refuel 3 small craft at a time, such as drones.

  • S77 Escort Fighter - "Crow"

The Crow is a rather light exoatmospheric ship compared to modern fighters, though it is capable of a large amount of firepower. It was originally designed among private shipping companies with escort duties in mind, but the patent for the ship was sold to the Arcadian government, who modified the ship for military duty. An M86 Grindell/Dirac is placed on the ventral side, though the Crow can maneuver to put this weapon at any angle. An X23 EMP cannon is put just up and to the left of the cockpit. An Argent V Missile Launch system is placed inside of either wing.

[Heavy Fighters]

  • S-14 Stealth Exoatmospheric Fighter - "Silver Girl"

The S-14 is the fastest, most advanced fighter in the Arcadian Air Force at mach 19. They are somewhat wedge-shaped with an individual connected tail stabilizer. Its engines, of which there are 3, are respectively mounted between the tail and each side. 2 ANVIL-IV anti-ship systems, which are mounted similar to the Broadsword, 2 U-T 120mm ventral guns, built next to the nose, and an M86 Grindell/Dirac Nonlinear Beam Rifle, just below the nose, all make up its weaponry. It is used for stealth, so it is covered with a stealth ablative coating.

[Interceptors]

  • F-41 Exoatmospheric Interceptor Craft - "Broadsword"

The F-41 is an interceptor that can travel in and out of atmosphere to chase down its prey. It is heavily used by planetary defense forces and the UPRF in places where suborbital combat would take place, though it has also made its way into foreign combat. The ship is very versatile and was designed with countering its enemies' speed and firepower in mind. It has energy shielding that only lacks in comparison to the S-14, though it is faster since the S-14's shielding output didn't operate as intended. For an armament, 2 M268 anti-tank guns are mounted beside the cockpit, an S-T 110mm is placed on the ventral side, and 2 M6088 ST/MMP Missile Delivery systems are mounted just before the forward-swept wings.

[Strategic Bombers]

  • B-65 Suborbital Long Range Bomber - "Shortsword"

The B-65 is an atmospheric strategic bomber with a swept-back wing design [and ailerons] while lacking a tail stabilizer, though the part of the fuselage that stretches back past the wings has winglets. The airframe is also less angular than the GA-TL1's. Its main purpose is to provide air support during battles rather than bomb starships. As it is made for carpet bombing, the M/R Ordnance Delivery System punches the ordnance down, its runs resembling napalm strikes.

  • P-3R Strategic Bomber - "Nandao"

A dart-shaped bomber with a high fineness ratio, the Nandao is named after the ancient Chinese sword of the same name. They are powerful enough to the point that an understaffed frigate would have to avoid facing more than one. Its engine capabilities allow the craft to travel at mach 12, and its fuel consumption is limited when traveling supersonic speeds. Advances in missile and bomb technology allow for them to be dropped from the bomber's bay without striking the craft itself due to the speed. It also has the M/R Ordnance Delivery System onboard.

[Tactical Bombers]

  • GA-TL1 Spatial Bomber - "Longsword"

Longsword bombers are multi-mission platforms in Arcadian service. They are capable of exo/atmospheric action and being fitted for a myriad of roles simultaneously. Their main mission is usually fleet defense, though they are also employed for orbital defense, deep-space interception, and suppression bombing. It has a long history of use, the current version being the C712 variant. The design consists of a wide, manta ray-like flying wing with a rear-facing boom apparatus, flanked by its twin fusion engines on the rear of the wing near the center of the fuselage. It is armed with 2 110mm rotary autocannons on the front, 2 120mm ventral-mounted autocannons, a Class-2 Guided Munitions system, and the M/R Ordnance Delivery System.

  • M-705 Space Fighter - "Hustler"

━ Official Guide to Maritime Craft ━

As a result of the invention of spacecraft, government use of marine craft has generally fallen out of use. However, Arcadia has a need to patrol its waterways, especially the PCR's rivers, intending to make good use of its maritime ships. This is also useful for deterring smalltime, groundside threats. The ships in the below list, save for the submersibles, carrier, and RHIB, are equipped with hydrofoils. All of these are operated by the Marine Defense Force.

━ Standard Boats ━

[Patrol Boats]

  • NF Cutter - "Sequence"

An advancement of the standard police cutter, the Sequence patrols federal regions connected to water, such as the Pirth Capital Region. It is unarmed, so a Cavalier is almost always found with one. They may perform stops on suspected or law-breaking watercraft.

  • NF First Response Boat - "Array"

The Array serves the purpose of locating emergencies and responding first to observe and monitor the situation until proper authority can arrive. Its size is somewhat smaller than a cutter, allowing it to tow stranded vessels.

  • NF RHIB - "Recoverer"

They can be launched from either boat or shore, generally reserved for rescuing overboard sailors and such.

[Utility Craft]

  • RSN Icebreaker - "Polar Star"

As its name implies, the RSN Icebreaker clears ice buildup when needed. This makes their presence stay around icy areas.

  • AC1 Infrastructure - "Constructor"

Flight-capable craft are not the only ships constructing sea-based infrastructure. The AC1 works with the AC1-U in building such buildings.

[Depth Utility Craft]

  • M8573T Mine Layer - "Primer"

The M8573T Primer is a mine-laying submersible with a big viewport. 2 skids run the length of it to keep it from breaching its own hull during mine-laying runs, as they are only done during stress or combat threat situations.

  • AC1-U Infrastructure - "Artisan"

The AC1 Underwater begins underwater constructions, such as laying foundations or inserting posts into the ground. It has several construction arms, a beam inserter, a magnetic lifter, and many lights. Like the Primer, it also has 2 skids.

━ Carriers ━

[Aircraft Carriers]

  • Colsta-class Aircraft Carrier

The only sea-based aircraft carrier used in Arcadia, the Colsta-class carries a wide variety of aircraft, such as planetary defense and search and rescue. Outside of planet Arcadia, these are very few and far between.

━ Armed Craft ━

[Armed Cutters]

  • NF First Response Armed - "Arranger"

Essentially the Array with mounted weapons, it has several M247Ts mounted on the decks and an M655 20mm near the bridge.

[Frigates]

  • Krill-class Defense Frigate

The Krill-class is 1/2 the size of a starship frigate and is the second-largest marine ship next to the aircraft carrier. Frigates are brought out in the event that a massive attack is occurring or the planet is under siege. They can be found on all planets in the Procyon system that are under Arcadian patrol. Their armaments include 3 Arena-class Mk. 57 point-defense guns, a Mk. 15 coilgun, 2 M240 Archer missile pods, and various machine guns on the decks.

[Submarines]

  • Sturgeon-class Nuclear Submarine

3 nuclear submarines are put on each Arcadian-controlled planet, save for Arcadia itself, which has none. They aim to counteract the building of ground-based nuclear weaponry in colonial waters. Onboard each are 2 M4093 Hyperion nuclear missiles and 1 [other nuke].

  • Silverfin-class Ballistic Submarine

2 ballistic submarines go with each nuclear submarine as a main attack craft - nuclear weapons come after. Both subs are virtually undetectable unless a scan is done of the ocean, and even then, it is hard to locate them. The Silverfin-class is equipped with 5 11-B1 ICBMs and 5 MX-181G ICBMs.

━ Official Guide to Spacecraft ━

• G79H TC-MA - "Pelican (gunship)" | Troop Transport, Mobile [small] Armory, Gunship

A gunship variant of the Pelican, it is a multi-role craft capable of transporting soldiers and a small armory while acting as said gunship. In general, the gunship operates alone. It features a twin-bubble canopy for both pilot and gunner, which is not reminiscent of the D77H. The pilot operates the ship and a dorsal-mounted M86 Grindell/Dirac Nonlinear Beam Rifle, while the gunner controls the nose-mounted GAU-53 and side-mounted M410 Flank Turrets. It is also the second of 3 slipspace-capable craft outside of starships.

  • D77H Dropship - "Pelican" | Dropship, Tactical Airlifter

The D77H is the most common and recognizable Arcadian ship, as it is extensively used for space-to-ground operations in the military and patrol and transit by civilian security forces and the Arcadian Patrol. It has the capability of transporting personnel in its troop bay and vehicles from the tow hook behind the ramp. Additionally, it may be utilized for quick evacuation. An AIE-486H is placed on the rear ramp for offensive/defensive capabilities. For design, the cockpit has the co-pilot seated behind and above the pilot, and the windscreen is a sectional with 2 ballistic panels rounded with the shape of the ship. A holo-tank is anchored among the rest of the shipboard electronics. Its articulating engines are mounted on 1 nacelle each for a total of 4 on each rotation-capable wing. 4 ventral thrusters allow it to lift off.

  • F99 UCRAV - "Wombat" | Air-Installation Combat, Reconnaissance

These are the primary reconnaissance crafts for Arcadia's main planets in the Procyon system and in military duties. Deployed in groups of 3-4 from starships and marine aircraft carriers, they also provide small air support for embattled troops. Their collective groups provide multiple angles of a situation from optical feeds, which are provided to mainly infantry. An Argent V Missile Launch System and an S-T 80mm Rotary Autocannon are both found on the underside of the drone.

[Assault - Unmanned]

  • XAV-48 Cryo Drone - "Frostraven"

Although a conjectural design, it pairs research and weaponized cryotech with an EV-44 frame. As the drone is new, it is still in an experimental stage, although it has recently been featured in combat roles where it operated successfully. An unnamed heavy cryo projector is put onto the underside of where the cockpit on an EV-44 would be. The cryo gun connects to a cryo-generation tank where the EV-44's personnel bay would be. 4 engines are built onto it, with 2 in the front and 2 on the rear.

[Observation & Communication - Unmanned]

  • SPSD-4 - "Stentorian"

Essentially serving the purpose of the Clarion drone but in-atmosphere, the SPSD-4 travels around and transmits data to its launch point - However, this is not its only function. The drone provides holographic decoys from long distances to distract anyone.

  • SPSD-5 - "Clarion"

The Clarion drone is programmed to follow a plotted course through space, using a wide variety of sensors and cameras to scan its surroundings and transmit data back to its origin point, such as a starship or planet. This has become useful for spying on enemy space movement and lining up long-ranged weapons.

  • Communications Satellite - "BLACK WIDOW"

The BLACK WIDOW is a satellite used in foreign territories by ground units to establish a communications array while under siege by a communications jammer. It is undetectable by many modern devices and will stand strong against any jamming equipment, though it is expensive.

  • F98 AWACS - "Tapir"

Used during combat operations, the F98 is a modified variant of the F99 in that it has a radar picket system mounted on it. The system assists with air-to-ground targeting and groundside radar. It also doubles as a signals intelligence craft.

[Utility - Unmanned]

  • Tugboat Mk. D - "Flatfish"

Assisting Ospreys in their roles, the Flatfish guides ships around and acts as a docking escort for shipyards and Refit/Repair stations. It also helps with commissioning float-outs when a ship enters service for the first time after construction.

  • TR-D Cutter - "Swordfish"

A construction tender, it essentially serves the same purpose as the Flatfish but with construction zones. It may deliver supplies around.

  • HWF Crane Ship - "Osprey"

The Osprey is an orbital crane ship. They come in various sizes, ranging between starship-size and half that. It is a modular design, allowing different sections, tools, and cranes to detach and be interchanged.

━ Freighters ━

[Strategic]

[Tactical]

  • DCS 90 Light Transport - "Gradient"

[Exoatmospheric Refuelling - Unmanned]

  • 57010-15 ARDD - "Sustainer"

Only slightly similar to the Longsword in the way of the rear-facing boom apparatus, the refueler can provide fuel to 2 ships/aircraft at a time. It is taken into battles to refuel aerospace craft so they do not have to return to starships. Nanites assist in connecting the fuel hoses, starting the fuel process.

━ Fighters & Bombers ━

[Space Superiority Fighters]

  • YSS-1000 Space Fighter - "Sabre"

The YSS-1000 is a space superiority fighter that aims to defend the space around fleets and space installations. It is older than the S-14, being somewhat of a predecessor. It was designed for peak acceleration and maneuverability in orbital combat, having a powerful afterburner system - This allows it to perform complex aileron rolls and Split S/Immelmann turns. The craft is maintained in specialized Sabre Engineering Facilities aboard orbital repair stations. As a result of its high maneuverability, targeting systems aboard it maintain the capability to lock onto other fast-moving, highly-evasive craft. This also makes it able to identify targets from a long distance. Its weaponry includes the M68 AL-IC just below the nose, 2 GAU-53 70mm MBHRCs on the connection between the fuselage and wings, and 2 M6088 ST/MMP Missile Delivery systems.

  • F-41 Exoatmospheric Strike Craft - "Broadsword"

  • G73 Stealth Interceptor - "Traveler"

A secret design, this aircraft is currently being developed for stealth interception actions. Field testing for the craft has just begun.

[Strategic Bombers]

━ Large Structures ━

[Non-Weaponry/Unarmed]

  • Blackout Spire

A Spire is a small tower structure that serves as a forward operating base and large-radius jammer during lengthy ground operations. They are modeled after similar tower array structures used on Arcadia. In the field, it has the ability to produce a large, EMP-infused hardlight shield 500 yards from the center in each direction, forming a circle. The tower itself consists of multiple sections. Several energy beams are hosted by the lower section where equipment storage is located, and the beams are then projected upward to suspend the upper level in the air. This upper level contains the command center and shield control. Several small buildings are scattered around the spire, among them several other energy beams holding up the structure. Their height makes them excellent watchtowers as well. The only downside is the build time, which is about 2 days.

  • Ignition-class Plasma Lance

A plasma lance is an ultra-heavy, anti-warship energy projector. Beams may be blue-white, red, and even purple. It fires tightly-focused, shaped plasma beams that deal a great amount of kinetic and thermal damage. The weapon can waste shields away, though this takes some time. Within close range, it can cut small warships in half. It may be used for attacking ground targets as well due to its position on the ventral side of large warships. The weapon's power comes from a nuclear fusion generator that takes 7 seconds to charge up. When charging up, energy projectors on the position employ targeting vanes that center their position around the magnetized emitter, causing a plasma maelstrom around it, to direct the plasma beam via magnetic fields.
