Overview
The Republic of Goraria or for short Goraria is a country located in the Mediterranean area. It claims the eastern coast of Iberia, Corsica, Sicily , southern coast of France, Sardinia, and the coasts of Algeria Tunisia and Morocco. The country of Goraria borders Spain and Morocco to its west, France, Monaco, and Italy to the north, and Algeria and Tunisia to the south. It has a area of 158.5 million sq mi (410.5 million km2) and a total population of 149M people. Goraria is a full presidential republic with its capital Forentria, and its largest city Marsunsk. Other major areas include Hunsberg, South Andestra, and Gorm.
Etymology and pronunciation
The word Goraria comes from the Gorarian language which means great people in English. The language itself derived from the Greeks who was like ehhh we would rather make our own language. Although they did got inspiration from the Latin alphabet, you know the abc one? I shouldn’t be telling you this you already know how to find the area of an trapezoid. To say the word goraria you have to say it like gore-rawr-ia. Yea that’s all. You can say it like gore-rare-ia but I prefer gore-rawr-ia more.
History
Prehistoric Era (~2000 BC- ~1000 BC)
In around 1900 BC, humans from Northern Africa were the first among others to set foot on Iberia before the humans from Europe crossed the mountains and settled there too in around 1500 BC. The people here fought for power for a few years and soon, one tribe dominated the others and have either been eradicated or escaped to somewhere else. Soon the first nation of Goraria start to appear in around 1000 BC.
Ancient History (999 BC-1319)
The Knostikonian Kingdom (953 BC-921 BC) was the first nation of Gorarian history (before all that tribal stuff) although it lived a pretty short life due to civil unrest. It broke apart in 921 BC and separated into 38 states. They fought for power and unity thus making bloody battles making them pretty popular in history books. These set of battles are known for Gorarians the Iberian Collapse (919 BC-894 BC). One particular state called Dorgonitonsin (914 BC-828 BC) was known to be the strongest states in Iberia and quickly steam rolled the other states.
After 874 BC, Dorgonitonsin united the states into what was known as the Dorgonian Empire. Unlike the Knostikonian Kingdom, the Dorgonian Empire actually lived for a very long time although the series of rulers it had were very cruel and either they were power hungry or they were just lazy and made their people become servants. In 830 BC, a revolution known as the Servants’s Protest risen up in the ancient city of Samik but we’re brutally suppressed. In response, the rebels burned the beautiful city to dust. After that, the rebels managed to overthrow the leader in 828 BC and replaced the leader with a more respectful leader called Calice Sombēri I which was the first female leader in Gorarian history. Also it was renamed the Doketskin Kingdom (828 BC-98 AD). During these centuries though, things were pretty grim and the kingdom was usually invaded by outside neighbors, especially the ancient empire of the Jahmil Kingdom which has fought the Dokerskin Kingdom many times.
In 98 AD, the Jahmil Kingdom annexed the Dokerskin Kingdom in a battle known as the Battle of Lavender. The Dokerstiks were brutally killed and some were lucky enough to work at the camps where they will work until death. The Dokerstiks did protest, but they weren’t as strong as they were before. Many Dokerstiks even kill themselves
Middle Ages (1320-1800)
A nation called Faremaner has defeated and annexed another nation called Frekenia in a war called the Basalt wars (1367-1370). Later after that, the Muslim nation of Dacarian Caliphate in Northern Africa conquered southern Iberia in 1436 but has been kicked out by Faremaner in the bloody war called The Battle of Iberia (1442-1445). Faremaner was soon annexed by the powerful nation of Gustovia (now called Qūortland) in 1451 which renamed it from Faremaner to the State of Harpūrmonia.
In 1453, 2 years after Gustovia’s conquest of Faremaner, a revolution in the city of Donetikca (now called Marsunsk) sparked unrest in the State of Harpūrmonia. The protesters were quickly disposed of.
